Well Bussy, you get your wish. The approval for the demolition of Wonderland (including Bush Beast) was granted by Blacktown Council yesterday. And so it ends. To any remaining coaster freaks..I hear Raby Road is still good, and you can still find Datsun 1200s out there. Zordmaker Signing off.

Good... and maybe this means people will stop creating new threads about this dead park. I still can't believe that Wonderland has the most posts out of any theme park on this site. Although it was once a decent park with potential, the place was nothing compared to the Gold Coast parks once the Malaysians took over. Come on people, it's time to move on and focus your attention on the real theme parks in this country

It was never my wish for the park to be shut down and demolished but it was reality. The fact that you kept trying to save the place long after it was do able is sad but commendable. I find it very funny that the Wonderland section has the most posts considering that the majority of people here are from Queensland. "The Bus is now leaving for Gonella, NSW"

It is very sad, but we have known this day would come for more than 18 months since the initial closure announcement, and I, like many ex-employees, saw this coming for a long time before that. It is not surprising that this site has more threads in Wonderland than any other, being a lot of our members are ex-wonderland employees. We might have more members in QLD, but those with REAL knowledge of the parks are more likely to contribute opinion and information, so therefore the fewer wonderland staff would post more than a general fan of parks in general. Also consider that NSW has a higher population than QLD, and while there has been lots to talk about with wonderland.. -closure -where the rides go -old reminiscence of the park -history -miscellaneous other things the QLD parks haven't given us as much to discuss have they? One new attraction per year, at the maximum, means one topic to discuss per year, per park. Wonderland had lots more to discuss, and still does, as we will have updates of what still survives in the park on a frequent basis... i still forecast the following threads: Demolition of Space Probe commenced Demolition of Bush Beast Commenced Demolition of Zodiac commenced Demolition of Beastie Commenced Trucks leaving the site with - ride parts, landscaping materials, all sorts of stuff leaving, will have a separate thread, depending on how far apart the time is between each load... I think my signature says all that needs to be said... (just with different management)

Its probably going to be more than one thread per QLD park, at least for the popular ones. Where else will people complain about bad paintjobs and long lines. But i can see where you are coming from. With BB, it was inevitable, were they really going to run a coaster out by itself in an industrial estate as an attraction?

Zodiac wasnt designed to be fun, it's basically designed for the people who prefer gentle rides, like parents of little kids, familys can go on the ride together, it also gives a good view, guest that dont like roller coasters or more thrilling rides may just prefer the zodiac, and parks have to cater for that. They cant all be fast and furious!...

As i said before willsy, it was designed to cater for the guests who dont like the thrilling rides, some people prefer gentle rides, some prefer big ones. Zodiac gives every type of person a ride experience, eg. If someone is elderly or disabled, or a family who has little kids they might want to go on a ride together and they may not be able to ride the Space Probe Or Demon, so the alternative is Zodiac. Anyway i think it should remain in Australia no matter which theme park wants it, its a unique ride, one of a kind. I would hate to see another one of our rides been shipped off overseas again. But if nobody does want it, than im sure Sunway has their eye on it.

I agree there, they should have bought it, and re-vived it. It was an excellent ride, and at current, Dreamworld has no high point rides where camera's can be taken on for some photography.
I 100% agree... Dreamworld needs a ride to take some good photography on! I also think if they put it in where the Thunderbolt was, you'd be able to get a GREAT view of the Cyclone, Nick Central, Ocean Pde & The Claw! :D Dreamworld has no time to waste! I think this ride could fit in really well with the Ocean Pde... Just gotta get a new name, coat of paint and maybe alittle theming and put some lights on it for the Screamworld thingys! :) Anyways this is just my thoughts,.. i cant make Dreamworld buy it but i really think it'd go well!
