Hi,

Just moved to brisbane from the UK with the wife and kids. Got our movieworld Season tickets already for $99 during the special offer. Daughter very happy to have reach 1.4m, and gets to go on the big coasters.

Have rode a lot of coasters, and lived 5km from Thorpe Park ( http://www.thorpepark.co.uk/ ) , and close to several other large parks.

Coasters here are a bit tammer, but at least you don't have to queue an hour to get on one at the moment. ( walk on/ 10 mins for some at MW on sunday )

Welcome, hope you enjoy it here, I suppose it is a shame to leave behind stuff like Nemesis, but hey Superman Escape beats out the UK Accelerator coasters pretty well so you gain something here wink.gif
Plus, you get to enjoy some big waterparks here, a bit different to the indoor ones in the UK.
Have fun.

Sure mid summer in the uk and 23C, but stealth and rita are faster than superman. Nice hills and fast enough on superman. Stealth is now 0 - 130 kmh in 1.9 seconds, and then 63 m straight up and down.

Rita isn't faster than Superman, they both go at 100km/h. I have sort of thought that Superman comes out on top because of its perfect airtime, and an ok indoor themed section. But hey as you said the queues are short (even in summer when they run two trains) and there is nothing quite like marathoning on it.

I've never visited the theme parks during the peak season, but I've heard that the SE queue line is faster on 2 trains than what it is with one?

Its just the everything out of your pocket thing that annoys me. Wife gets a bag full of coins, money, phone.. for the day. Too cheap for catch nets , making money on lockers, or some Oz safety rule ? Is it the same in all the parks ? I know the uk insist on shoes and shirts but thats about it.

Do you know if you can ride the coasters with glasses straps on here ? Tired of 30 seconds of blurred rides, and wondering what the view looks like from batwing.
