  1. Someone posted this on the reddit thread, which makes a lot of sense: http://imgur.com/a/fnOUt
  2. Such a misleading article, among other similar ones, that the log ride and river rapids are the same ride. They make it seem that the accident earlier in the year was on the same ride to make DW look irresponsible
  3. So no arkham asylum for fast track? Probably best to jump on that as soon as it opens then hey?
  4. So just to confirm RE: using a mobile for ride express, all the rides have somewhere relatively secure to put your phone for each ride?
  5. So it just lets you jump the queue correct? Are you even likely to be able to use 4 on the busiest rides in 90mins on a really busy day?
  6. Roughly how much does fast track cost? I'm guessing there are different levels like ride express?
  7. Hi all, my partner and I are heading to DW/MW this weekend and I know its going to be packed so we are trying to get the most out of it. We've looked at DW site and have seen ride express - the silver one for $55 each seems worthwhile, yet expensive. I see they have a phone app which you can use - I assume each ride that supports it has a little box or somewhere to leave your phone while you are on the ride? Also how does it determine what is 'half' of the wait? Does MW still have fast track? The latest news I can find is from 2013, but I thought I saw FT signs up on pictures from Doomsday? Why is there no mention on their website if it still exists? Looking for any info on both of these services as well as your personal opinions and experiences, thanks!
  8. That explains it then - we didn't get that wet at all on storm! Got far wetter on Wild Wild West, but now when I think about it we were row 2 on storm..
  9. Sea Viper was closed today, which was unfortunate as storm wasn't all that great. Was a guy in a cherry picker doing something to SV on the track under the very first bend after lift hill
  10. I went today and the show had both bikes and cars, weaving in and out of one another and such
  11. Hope it only needed minor fixing! If anyone is going there tomorrow please advise if its running
  12. Just logged on Sea World and it says Sea Viper is currently down for maintenance? I saw it going yesterday when we drove past can anyone confirm if it was down today? Hoping it is up when I go to SW on Thursday!
  13. I just checked MW maintenance and I am very disappointed that they have moved forward their maintenance on Green Lantern by a week. We are going there next Tuesday 28th and from this day forward it will be closed =*( Has there been problems with it recently to cause them to move the date forward? Green Lantern Coaster will be closed for scheduled maintenance from Tuesday 28th January 2014 and will re-open Monday 10th February 2014. Batwing Spaceshot will be closed for scheduled maintenance from Monday 10th March 2014 and will re-open Monday 31st March 2014. Superman Escape will be closed for scheduled maintenance from Monday 28th April 2014 and will re-open Monday 9th June 2014. Arkham Asylum Coaster will be closed for scheduled maintenance from Monday 9thJune 2014 and will re-open Monday 30th June 2014. Kids’ WB! Fun Zone: Roadrunner Rollercoaster will be closed for scheduled maintenance from Monday 24thFebruary 2014 and will re-open Monday 31st March 2014. Pounce'n'Bounce will be closed for scheduled maintenance from Monday 5th May 2014 and will re-open Monday 26th May 2014. Tweety Carousel will be closed for scheduled maintenance from Monday 26th May 2014 and will re-open Monday 9th June 2014.
  14. I love theme parks and my partner and I are heading back to the GC next week for 10 days. We will be visiting WnW/MW/SW but I have not been to them outside school holidays since I was about 10 years old. As a school teacher I must now always take my holidays during school holiday time. However now that I teacher in a 'remote' area we actually get one week extra holiday, so the second half of our trip will be when the rest of the country have returned to school. At this stage we are planning on going to WnW on Friday 24th which will still be in holiday time as we are going with my sister who can only go then, but we are going to MW/SW the next week on Tuesday / Thursday (planned, weather pending) which will be once school has returned. I am assuming there will be a noticeable difference? Or is it common for many people like myself to go once school ends, hence creating a secondary peak time? We last went there last year in July and at MW we barely scraped in a ride on every ride there by being there when the gates opened until when they closed. Can I expect to go on a few rides multiple times now that we are visiting outside holidays? Also would you recommend going back to WnW again the second week when holidays are over? Or is this park okay when busy, given slides should operate quicker than mechanical rides? Oh and one more thing; I quite enjoy riding Sea Viper, can anyone confirm if its been staying open recently?
  15. If this ride was spinning around WHILE it dropped giant drop style...that would be kinda cool. Agree with the fact that even in slow motion this would be far too hardcore for most non-thrill seekers
