  1. Oh thanks I didn't know that, we haven't been she hasn't been on it since it was down for maintenence. She's 107cm so looks like she has to wait again for it
  2. We swap each financial year between VRTP and Dreamworld passes, due to swap over to Dreamworld ones in a few weeks but the new coaster definitely has got us sticking with VRTP for another year. While updating Tiger Island, Corroboree, food areas etc is pleasing to the eye, it isn't enough to draw us back in when the alternative is a new coaster....and that's even with young kids who aren't tall enough to enjoy a lot of rides yet (oldest was only just tall enough for Road Runner before her 5th birthday).
  3. Yeah you couldn't see the passengers but could see the front of the boat sitting up there. It was just before it would go over the edge. I've got a photo but don't particularly want the media putting it in a panicked article. My partner is a bit put off me taking the kids on rides given that's 3 in the week at just one park but I'm not worried
  4. Prepare for more. Was just lining up for WWF with my daughter and there's a boat stuck up before the drop
  5. Aside from being manufacturer specification etc does anyone have insight into why Vikings is a 95cm height restriction vs Log ride which has the age restriction of over 1 year old? I've taken one of my kids on the Log ride since not long after her 1st birthday. She's 3 in a few weeks, tall enough for all the new rides at Seaworld, but too short for Vikings still. My youngest will likely not even be 70cm by the time she turns 1 and can go on the Log ride.
  6. Watching the press conference he didn't quite confirm they were being paid while the park is closed- rather that the staff were being "looked after" and there was still a lot of staff needed for work at the park in the meantime (for maintenance, gardens etc)
  7. I believe when I first took my middle daughter on the ride back in March there were 7 of us in the one raft. My daughter had just turned 2 and was sitting in my lap. I did think my partner would have a photo of us from standing on a bridge but I've only got a selfie of us on the ride so can't confirm
  8. I would probably still do Disney Paris as well. I had done Anaheim 9yrs prior (when California Adventure Park was being built) and yes there were some similarities but still worth the visit. I managed to get both parks done in the one day, but that was before kids too and I didn't stop for many parades on the way. More just got rides and experiences out of the way
  9. I went for the first time in 1997 or 1998. I remember lining up for it somewhere near where the (then) Avalanche ride was. I do remember the warning messages and that originally there was someone operating the lift when you had finished the ride. I'll see if I have any old pics ETA: Sorry can't find any pics of the queue, only one old one of the Tower (before Giant Drop) where it had a disc up the very top as opposed to the cylinder there today
  10. We took a very excited 3yr old today for the opening. She and our 18mth old loved the Bananas maze however was pretty disappointed with the new Giggle and Hoot ride as it had a 100 cm min height. She's 3.5 and only 95cm tall so will probably be over G&H by the time she is tall enough. Wiggles shop is now refurb to ABC shop with similar prices to the normal ABC shops. There were bubble machines going. We didn't go in to the new Fun Spot though. We didn't get there til 2pm but lines were all really short on all the rides which surprised me! Don't think I have pics except for the inside of the maze sorry
