Southern Star Observation Wheel

At the time of its announcement it was slated to be the second tallest Oberservation Wheel in the world however in this time four taller wheels have been announced making it only the sixth tallest in the world.

Said by the developers to be the tallest amusement ride in the southern hemisphere at 120m tall. Dreamworld's Giant Drop operates to a height of 119m. It is also expected to be the most expensive amusement ride built in Australia. Contradicting reports suggest this ride will cost anywhere between $60 and $120 million.
