Dreamworld (QLD, AU)

Uses LSM (linear synchronous motors) to launch the single shuttle along a straight launch track from 0-161km/h in seven seconds. Shuttle has seats arranged in four rows with four riders per row except the front row which only has three riders.

Tower of Terror in reverse?

Tower of Terror may see its train reversed as part of a 2010 upgrade.
Dreamworld is set to upgrade one of one of their "big six" rides this year, with reports suggesting a 180º switch of the Tower of Terror's 15-person car may just be the ticket.

Sea World Corkscrew replaced by new attraction

Sea World's iconic Corkscrew Rollercoaster has closed to make way for a new major attraction.
MyFun, the ticketing portal and online presence for Warner Village Theme Parks, have reported the iconic Corkscrew Rollercoaster will no longer be entertaining riders as it has for the past 27 years. In its place will be the exact same ride, with a colour change and a new train -- arguably the most exciting new attraction to hit the Gold Coast this summer!
