Thrilling new adventure park open in rare Sydney forest

Sydney is set for a thrilling new outdoor adventure in time for the school holidays with TreeTops Sydney - The Hills opening at the stunning Cumberland State Forest, West Pennant Hills.

Boasting one of Australia's biggest high-ropes course with 126 challenges among the forest’s soaring 40 metre high Bunya pines, TreeTops Sydney – The Hills was officially launched in December by the Mayor of the Hills Shire, Councillor Yvonne Keane.

The adventure park features climbing nets, Tarzan lianas, monkey bridges, suspended rafts, trapezes, twisted ladders and 20 state-of-the-art zip lines, with some of the action taking place 25 metres above ground.

The park also includes never seen before challenges such as build-your-own-bridge, circle bridges and a pummel horse to get from tree to tree.

Sandrine Gaymard the General Manager of Ecoline, which operates the park, says: "We're challenging families to get off their devices and experience the bush this summer.

"Thrill seekers can soar through the trees and zip past the birds and wildlife in Sydney's only metropolitan state forest." 

Just a short drive from Sydney CBD, courses are available for kids, tweens and teens and adults of all ages. The daredevil adults Black Course – which is not for the faint hearted as it takes place high up in the pines – will open soon.

Christmas vouchers are available for Treetops Adventure Parks’ various activities at The Hills, Western Sydney, Central Coast and Newcastle. Prices are $28 for children (3-9 year old), $38 for juniors (10-17 year old) and $28 for adults. Discounted family and group passes are available.

TreeTops Sydney - The Hills and other Treetops Adventure Parks are open every day except Christmas Day.
