Forum Upgrades – December 2025
As you'll notice, there's some pretty major changes to the forums today. Importantly, login is now via your email address rather than username. Your password remains unchanged. If for whatever reason you are unsure of the email account you signed up with, then I'd recommend getting in touch and we can look into it for you. It was a bit of an abrupt transition today; it was meant to be a bit more gradual, but a few things behind the scenes pushed it forward and here we are. The first thing you'll probably notice is the site is a whole lot faster and we won't be prone to those periods of painfully slow loading, which had become more frequent in recent months. There's also lot of new features that I've barely gotten my head around with this latest version of the forum software, but for now it should at least feel a bit more vibrant and down the track we'll be implementing a few new features. For the time being, the main site is down. It's a slightly larger project to get up and running again but it will happen. Today's rather sudden upgrade for the forums meant that it just wasn't possible to get everything done at the same time. There's no immediate plans for me to resume editorial content, but the site will be back soon enough and we'll hopefully find a way to breathe new life into the site and give new voices and content creators an opportunity to share more freely with this community. If anyone encounters any bugs or issues with the new forum then I'd invite you to share them in the Community Feedback forum.

Wet N Wild Zoom Zone
Got a short visit into WnW yesterday for the first visit of the summer season Park was heaving with a lot of school excursions (overlooked that thinking i'd get in before the rush of school holidays) Zoom Zone looks like an upgraded version of Fully 6 (or 4). Queue line is split into 3 at ground level - "Twisters" and "Loopers" and fast track. Twisters is the lower thrill option (lacks the first up drop of Loopers). People in the Loopers line are given plastic cards to give to the sorter at the top of the tower - this is how they differentiate who is going to what slides at the top and to ensure no one changes their mind basically. At the top 4 coloured lines representing the 4 slides lead you to the relevant slide. It's a bit chaotic given the limited space, but they make it work. Constant audio synced to screens both on ground level and at the top of the tower run through height, weight and health requirements (102cm for Twister, 120cm for looper, max 135kg) You must lie flat the entirety of the slide, ankles crossed and arms crossed over chest. I only tried the Twister option, which was about as slow as a waterslide could be. I was wearing a rashie and maybe its a water pressure thing but on 2 occasions i almost came to a complete stop and had to propel myself - in hindsight i think this was a somewhat common occurrence and explained the wide gaps in dispatch times between sliders. The lack of an initial drop on Twisters doesnt give you much momentum to carry you, so i think the water flow is something they'll need to deal with (for context whilst not light, i'm a LONG way off the max weight capacity - and based on what i experienced yesterday i'd hate to think how a 120-130kg person would go. In other park news, a new donut van looks like a permanent edition "'Daniels Donuts" apparently one has opened at Movie World too and they are similar to Krispy Kremes And what seems new since last season (or my memory has just failed) is that Calypso Beach is now sponsored by Royal Carribean and the signage has been updated, as have the tubes. Some construction/demolition is occurring at the foot of Zoom Zone and River Rapids as well which has changed the entry point to the ramp up the hill to access the rapids

The video in the reply above yours shows fast track, and what appears to be general standby. There's no way you'd fit single rider up that corridor - and they're certainly not going to prioritise capacity over making money off queue jump passes. It's been said it's just the beginning of the video, and if that's the case i'm not against it - you can't skip credits on stuff like that - but even if it isn't, i'd be totally ok if they'd worked out a sponsorship deal for it. In my view, watching what I assume is a 'making of' \ 'behind the scenes' video while standing in a queueline, even without HBO branding - isn't quite the embodiment of 'immersion'. If you want immersion in a queue line, check out WOZ or Jungle Rush, because it isn't projector screens playing movie clips.

You’d most likely only see the ad every time the movie ends and resets back to the beginning so you’d see it a max of 3-4 times in line accounting for school holiday crowds. I don’t think it’s fair to call it a bombardment of ads for HBO Max, at least compared to whats seen on the screens in the station of DCR where it’s ads are present 95% of the time.

The indoor queue looks amazing! However in my view, nothing quite embodies immersion like being bombarded with HBO Max ads while queuing for an hour for one of Australia’s most “iconic” rides… might be worth the trade off for the extra fountains and props, however for a park that’s build so much hype I would prefer no ads
