  2. Cockburn ARC, which is ten minutes down the road, is also worth checking out. Popped in to AW, today, to try out my new mirrorless camera. The park wasn't empty, with the after school crowd coming in to get some relief from the 30 degree heat. Ironically, it was beautiful weather when I got there and it was lightning on my way home.

  4. I’m not sure about the cost, but the Krakatau aqua coaster in Volcano Bay looks great. I think I’d move house to live by it.

  5. So there will be no attraction code-named MI-4 or they'll never add a new ride? Either way, that's a dark premonition.

  6. I’m sure we’ll have a designated thread in the future but any thoughts on what Mi4 might be? I’m guessing it’ll be a water attraction of some description. Mark did previously talk about a lazy river. Personally, I’d like to see a donut flume starting next to the Kraken and winding its way down to the go karts. Also, I wonder if I AW have decided what’s coming yet?

  7. $19 sounds a lot cheaper than $20 to a lot of people. To the park it's only just $1.

  8. Also if you do plan on buying a return ticket in park I don’t think they are selling them yet as I went two weeks ago with a mate without a season pass who asked to buy a return ticket and they said that they don’t sell them this early in the season. However this could have changed by now.

  9. So Neville if anyone remembers him? Iunno, as a massive Scooby fan, i'd have to disagree. Anyone that's worked retail knows you can talk about any random subject at any given time, and as such i've talked with several customers about Scooby. And any time i've ratted off a name or description of ANY villains in the seasons and shows leading up to the films, nobody has known who im talking about until i rat off where they are or what part they play in the 2nd film. Even in the Cosplay community, when i say i'm working on a Captain Cutler outfit nobody has any clue who that is until i tell them "Hes the guy in the lake in the 2nd film when they go to the clubhouse". How many members here had no idea who that was until that description? If the niche-ish market based on outdated pop culture doesn't know who that is, why would the GP know any of them? Not to mention, would you rather the ride look like it used to, or like one of the piss poor Sally Scooby shooting rides? While i may be a little biased considering the first one is my 2nd favourite live action movie behind Bootmen, the films are still relevant and remembered by many. Even the guy in the gift shop at the end seems to love it, instantly picking up on my Spooky Island shirt and then throwing facts at me (all of which i already knew). Also, the first film while lacking many of the gags of the original series' it gave us depth to the characters. Something apart from Scooby and Scrappy we hadn't seen until What's New Scooby Doo and very much the even more recent, Mystery Incorporated. It was when they added in the gags in the 2nd one where the film fell short. Also, you're suggesting a retheme of a ride based on a ghost train in a tropical themepark to a 48 year old TV show that unless you grew up on the show or are as much of a fan of it as i am, no one remembers. Let that thought sink in. If you're suggesting that, you might as well just remove everything from that ride leaving nothing but a shed and some track and theme it to Mad Max thus alienating a good chunk of your patronage.

  10. I did Google, there was nothing linking BLM to the removal of Splash Mountain. Which is why I asked for a source.

  11. These attractions are planned a good 18 months in advance so no one knows what the other is doing. Gumbuya will be the ones who get hit most I think, (for a number of reasons). Can't wait to see the team at FF and the new attractions on the 21st. You guys all know how much of a fan I am of FF! By the way, the Marketing is being done by Biscuit. I never used them simply because they are Melbourne based but I think you would all agree, they come up with some cool stuff!

  12. $15 was barely tolerable for one ride. Upping it another $4 just because they can is a bit rich. I mean sure they know people are paying and will pay for it, but it's just money grabbing because they can. Why does it need to be on its own fast track? Why not make it an additional tier for the existing one? We pay for backwards, we pay for fast track, soon enough they'll charge for general entry and single rider. Plus I'm known for complaining about everything, so why not this too.

  13. At what point do they just say "Stuff it" and throw in the towel on Scooby Doo? Is it really worth spending a fortune on reviving a clearly rundown attraction when they could utilize the space and ride with a new IP... Even though said ride would probably be "DC JUSTICE LEAGUE: WILD MOUSE COASTER". I feel that Scooby is unfortunately at a point of no return .

  14. the tremors are intentional. I don't think it's joins as it happens even as you leave the station ("attention, attention, the earthquake tremors are increasing..."). I don't think it's subs. I don't know what it is, but its intentional, constant (not just over joins), and couldn't be caused by subs (the force to do so would hit you in the chest also).
