  1. We've been calling for it for a long time, I'm delighted with the changes. It will price out the people who don't spend money anyway so the parks won't be so busy, and for those that do pay they get a better park. Double thumbs up from me, lets see how this goes!

  3. Seems today there have been a lot of new changes implemented at MW. Some just minor, but some quite big changes, and I hear there are more to come Firstly, the two that have already been shared: 1hr Free Superman locker hire And the new Fast Track including DC Rivals Next, all DC Villains Unleashed elements are now FREE. They are no longer selling the wristbands and instead have attached two at every station. Which meant when I visited there were people throughout the whole area interacting with them (And there were staff assisting people too) Lex Luther has returned And the signs which advertised the bands have been replaced There was also this new character in Main Street. Anyone know who she is? And the Great Gatsby have returned, with a drive up and down Main Street, and then a performance also ' Couple of other things: - You no longer exit through the turnstiles, instead through the gate on the far right (as you are leaving) - No more Credit Card Charges - And there are staff roaming throughout the park with iPads receiving feedback from guests. I imagine this could all be due to the new CEO and is listening to what guests are saying.

  4. Amazing news. A theme park that listens to guest feedback and does everything possible to maximise the customer experience... a recipe for total success. PS Long live non-discounted theme park tickets. May it lead to much capital expenditure.

  6. It was a tongue in cheek comment but also laced with some truth. we’ve got a park with only one ride suited to people over the age of 7, and we’re blowing $$$ on what appears to be scenery theming. If the volcano was in the centre of the area and was functional as some sort of water spray/dump feature then it would be fine...

  7. I love that they've increased, but I do hope they recognise the loyalty of those who took out the memberships, and allow them to continue.

  8. About time. Good to see they've upped the price and removed all other forms of pass. I think this is still a good price (But happy to see locals get a discounted price). Im sure there will be complaints about the price increase, but it really still isnt expensive. Especially when it includes WC and Carnivale.

  9. I made my first trip to Dreamworld in a couple of years over the weekend. It was a family trip, I didn't have my "enthusiast" goggles on. I went with my 9-year-old daughter, who met the height for everything, and my 6-year-old daughter, with a slightly more limited height, but past ABC Kids stage. We hadn't been to any parks in the last 12 months, and prior to that had passes to MW/SW/WW. We only wanted to go for a couple of hours, so we mainly just hung out in the Dreamworks area and Ocean Parade. Construction and closures aside, I think as a whole, the place looks a lot fresher than it used to. As criticised as it gets, there is WAY more for my family to do at Dreamworld than Movie World. In the short time we were there, the kids went on most of the Dreamworks rides, the eldest loved being big enough to ride the motorbike on motor coaster (younger could go sidecar), and eldest was allowed to pick 2 thrill rides and went for Shockwave and Claw. (The tickets were a gift to my younger daughter, so she was in charge of planning activities for this particular visit). At MovieWorld, the oldest could only do Wild West and Scooby (didn't like any of the WB Kids rides), and even my youngest wasn't sold on the WB Kids rides. I know they can't compete with the thrills across the road, so I really think they need to promote the 'family fun' element. My kids can't wait to go back. On the safety issue - the extra strap on Shockwave seemed to slow down the loading process, but the line was short enough it wasn't too much of an issue. The extra chest strap on Puss in Boots Swing seemed overly excessive to me, and I thought it looked more dangerous than it was worth, it was nearly sitting on my younger child's neck, rather than across her chest.
