It's 5pm and as we were promised, absolutely everything is open here at Sea World. Certainly makes a big difference to the atmosphere, and I hope they continue with this.

Well time for Merlin to buy Dreamworld then.

I've just experienced "Sirens of the Sea" from the underwater viewing windows in Shark Bay. A fascinating idea but it would seem poorly executed. An audio recording was played for about 5 minutes which was very hard to hear but did mentionmermaids many times. I did wonder how they could safely have a mermaid in the water with sharks around, and thought perhaps the penguin area would have been a more suitable location. Anyway no mermaid was sighted by me at all. MaybeI was just very unlucky. Otherwise all "Sirens of the Sea" amounted to was as described above! Anyone else seen it?

Went to WNW today and they’ve updated their Fast Track too so it is similar to MW. Theirs is $124

Seats mentioned above are still out. Interesting to note I found the ride felt noticeably faster today in the heat, and the trims seemed to be a lot more noticeable to. Queue was looking like this from just after lunchtime so plenty of rerides today. Definitely recommend going this week before crowds kick in.

Thanks @Richard and the Parkz Crew for delivering another informative and well thought out read! You are doing a mighty fine job of getting people talking about the juicy stuff that matters in our Parks. I really hope Ardent do sell DW - and in 2018, because frankly they are possibly the worse thing that ever happened to the place. Not only do they need a new Owner but as Richard put, an Owner who knows and cares about delivering the Theme Park experience. A business that is not in it for a quick buck and one that has the big bucks to spend on it's ageing infrastructure.

Only the second time in 2017 actually for me.

@joz I think it's a comparitive case, where - when considered alongside the MW monstrosity, its pleasingly simplistic and easy. I may be exaggerating my enthusiasm for it just a tad to emphasise my dissatisfaction with MW's.

I was so disappointed when I last went on Scooby a year or 2 ago, and not just because it is now rough as guts. I told my buddy who had never been on it before about the cool Scooby song which blasts out in the big room, but it was so quiet it was almost inaudible. It really makes the experience when the music is pumping.
