  1. I don't know for sure but I'm going to guess that they going to announce they have secured land to start planning and building "Sydney's Wonderland". As for the 'museum' I think it's a ridiculous idea and if it is going to be part of the new park it should be a very small section and definitely not include the carriages they have secured and are very lucky to still have as the people who own them thought they could store them on someones land indefinitely and not pay for it. The target market for Sydney's Wonderland couldn't care less about a park that closed before most of them were born. Happy 2018 everyone.

  2. I'm pretty sure there's a latch that open up the roof then the operator can close it so it looks like It does. (Not certain on that but think that's what the latch would be for).

  3. Only counting coasters I've ridden this year (re-ridden and new): 1) Expedition GeForce - The definitive airtime machine for me. 2) Lech Coaster - Relentless new-gen Vekoma! 3) Superman the Ride (Six Flags New England) - Would match EGF imo if it weren't for these poor restraints! 4) Schwur des Kärnan - So weird, yet so exhilarating! 5) Helix - Wonderful complete coaster experience despite the lesser intensity. 6) Taron - Unconsistent, but very unique ride with some really amazing elements. 7) Wicked Cyclone - So much ejector airtime it's a little painful! 8) Balder - Great first drop and a ridiculously fun pattern of repeating bunny hops with airtime! 9) Formuła (Energylandia) - Short, but very fun mix of elements! 10) Star Trek: Operation Enterprise - A delicate mix between agressive little pops of airtime and subtle floater moments. Happy New Year everyone! Even though I'm not posting much, it's a real pleasure to read and follow this forum

  6. Seriously.....if it's the case DW have put 1) their Logs in a "cage" and 2) removed the tunnels.....they are still run by a pack of amatuers - it's a THEME Park and every attraction needs quality theming. I was hopeful the next 10yrs or so, was going to see the long-term return of DW to genuine quality standards. IF what I'm reading here is true, this is not encouraging....and the Log Rides been a very safe attraction....surely, they can come up with a simple belt restraint, this thing looks weird not to mention horrible....not seen it anywhere else on a Log Ride...laughable actually. No tunnels, what's with that? Do they still use "real water", I mean people HAVE drowned in it???

  7. It's really sad to see Dreamworld going over the top with "safety" features. I honestly feel like the park is intentionally adding reasonably pointless "safety" upgrades to rides just so it can fix it's reputation. Take the shockwave for example. No other Disk O's in Australia or NZ are using harnesses, including the 2 year older Invader ride at Rainbows End, yet it gets the attention from us and it makes us feel good that Dreamworld is focused on safety. I feel like Pitt and Sherry may be behind half of this too, telling Dreamworld to add things they perhaps don't genuinely need. The log ride "cage" is so stupid and racing-grade seatbelts would have looked cleaner and would have also been more comfortable. They need to really STOP FIXING THINGS THAT ARE NOT BROKEN.

  8. If wooden slats were not removed from the River Rapids those people would not have been killed. Dreamworld modifying the ride led to those deaths.

  9. In what world is Vintage Cars a coaster? And do numbers 8 and 9 not exist in this strange world?
