  1. To be fair, if it was a new Post Mix Refill machine I have no doubt Bikash would announce it as "world class" and "like nothing you've ever seen before, start of the art stuff"

  2. I can confirm, they are definitely ripping out the concrete channels before filling them in. I was worried that they were just filling over it when I first saw photos. Once I got down there, there was an excavator with a hydraulic hammer and claw, ripping through the channels and putting the rubble in trucks to be removed. There was still water in the reservoir and in the channel that used to run under Eureka but they were in the processing of pumping that out when I was there too. Granted, the water level is fairly low, so they've already drained a heap of it. Maybe they are doing the ol' switcharoo? Take the dirt from WWW and put it in Gold Rush, then take the water from Gold Rush and put it in WWW? 😂 Oh and I have no idea what @themagician was talking about because the reservoir or at least the deepest main part of it, is still very much there. (The part where rafts used to float into before they installed the gate)

  3. The reservoir is now gone, and the channels are being filled. Pretty much no evidence of the rides existence anymore. (Photos TPSN)

  4. Ranger is still looking pretty good, especially after it's latest refurb, although the Breakdance there (in its current state) is shocking IMO. Would love to see a showman buy that up and run it to its full potential. The Troikia is in a bit of a odd place. Whilst it still runs pretty well (yet still needs a massive visual overhaul), I doubt any showman would want to buy something so large, with nowadays travelling family rides usually fitting on to 1 - 2 trailers at the most, and being relatively easy to set up/pack down. I can't really see it staying in Australia either, as despite being a quality HUSS machine, many parks nowadays are looking to buy new rides that won't require immediate and constant attention.

  6. As far as I know yes.... Not sure if they'll make any modifications to make it look like more of a permanent attraction, but KMG Don't really do highly themed park attractions, so it's always going to look like a transportable model parked for an event or show.

  7. Because if bringing in a carnival ride is one way to test out the audience reaction, then why aren’t all the parks doing it? Sorry that doesn’t fly. The parks spend a lot of money into researching their target markets and what would fit said markets, they aren’t going to hire a carnival ride to “test the market”, it’s purely a stop gap measure because they know the park is fucked. It’s disappointing really that it has come to this.

  8. Quick update to Luna Park Melbourne: The aforementioned new kids rides are now installed in park and will be unveiled in the coming weeks. The spinning coaster appears to be , as previous speculation surmised, a clone of the SBF Visa spinner at Adventure Park in Geelong. This has yet to be confirmed , however. The LPM unit will be called Speedy Beetle. The other new ride is a kids Ferris Wheel called Moon Balloons. What is good to note is that neither of these rides are replacing any existing attractions- these are completely new ride installs. It would not have been unreasonable to expect that the Silly Serpent may have been updated or one of the older kids rides but this will not be the case. The park cannot confirm at this time whether any seasonal rides will be located in the park for this summer period. Not a huge update but its always nice to see new additions in any park. Younger families will most certainly find them pleasing when visiting LPM

  9. Many years ago I asked the "oracle" of Dreamworld his thoughts on B&M coasters. Bob's reply was that they wouldn't build one because their capacity is too high for Dreamworld's needs. He pointed out that B&Ms have four across seating, but Dreamworld really only needs two across. I guess what you can take from that is that his basic arithmetic skills and industry insight seems to be about as good as his memory...

  10. Here's hoping Ardent are told they are not allowed to own a Theme Park.
