Testing all day, looks like Village staff are going to operate it.

Heres the official TVC for the ride. I think it’s great and marketing idea is pretty cool. Not so sure the music choice was right though.

@Tim Dasco and I headed down to AW last Saturday to see if any rumours he’d heard were true. First up, the entrance to the park had changed, with shade sails erected in front of the main gate. It’s a good idea for people waiting to get in, but it certainly changes the look. The Surf Shack had new pink ropes for its queue race, with silly sayings at the start and end. The animal area still isn’t open. Despite there being a sign telling us the area is under renovation, no work seems to have been done. We did see keeper Amie rescuing a bird from a tree. It does seem to be the end for this area. Tim noticed that the entry building had been painted on the outside, but not the inside. The park was quite busy as the weather was quite warm. We still had fairly short queues (the longest being Kraken at around 15 minutes). There were plenty of new food stalls and extra shade up for what looked to be a corporate fun day. With extra portable lights in the car park, the park appeared to be staying open that night for a private event(still no news on Fright Nights or its replacement). Black Widow has a new sign. The tea cups seem to be getting a permanent covering and new water fountains have been completed. The Buccaneer Battle pool had a new ridge built, which looks to help keep the sand out. The biggest difference we noticed was in the old moat to the castle’s island. It has been completely cleaned out and some repairs have been made to the wall. If they’re think of building a lazy river down there, it would be an extremely cool place to do it.

Yeah there's your problem. Here's my 2 step plan to improving the DW train; 1. Close Billabong station. It's very close and down hill from Central Station. Close it so the train can spend more time moving and less time stopped. 2. Always leave as soon the train is ready to depart. There is no good reason to only run the train every half hour. The train also adds an element of kinetic energy to the park and ups the capacity. Done, fixed your train.

Who cares about grape or cherry. FFS's CocaColaAmatil coke is not coke without whisky.

Actually, the apostrophe here is correct. It's possessive. The 's' is not plural. 'Your Classic's', is just a shorter way of saying 'Your classic flavour's original taste'. It's clunky but it's grammatically correct. @red dragin While it might be technically correct, it's an awkward way of phrasing it because they've truncated the sentence to make it fit. They've also used 'one of your' which makes the plurality of flavours both singular and possessive in a way that doesn't intuitively make sense. Multiple flavours would generally be plural, and 'your classics' would be the plural way of referring to the group of flavours. The addition of 'one of' and 'your' confuses whether they are referring to one 'classic' flavour or 'one of the classics'. Since there are multiple flavours the sentence, as written, would read correctly as plural rather than possessive singular - without any additional words being truncated. The truncation of those words makes the apostrophe confusing because they're referring to a singular, possessive noun, but your brain has to figure out what words are missing since the sentence would make perfect sense without any more words if it were plural. TL;DR it's just bad copy writing and they should have found a better way to make their point that isn't grammatically awkward. I hope this helps and doesn't just make you more confused.

This article in todays Courier Mail details how former Ardent CEO Deborah Thomas has become friends with Kim Dorsett, mother of one of the victims of the TRRR tragedy. Apparently it's more than professional courtesy. The two women seem to be genuine friends. Some good from a terrible situation.

DW haven't understood the meaning of the word 'Continuity' for many, many years..

@Adam C I believe MI4 is still coming for 2019/2020 season. Personally as with MI1-3 I doubt we will hear much if anything until after the park has closed for the season. My personal opinion is either a Lazy River around the front of the park or another massive pro-slide next to Kraken. However we will have to wait and see.
