  1. I’d recommend that you can’t be a contributing member until you no longer have to be in bed by 8 on school nights...

  2. Anyway, TIME FOR MY FINAL WEEKLY VOLARE UPDATE! Seeing as the ride is pretty much complete now, this is basically going to be my last update focused on the construction progress of this ride. Here's some pics I took this evening: Here's the "bridge" entry to the ride. Obviously not as grand as the ones of yore but it's pretty nice. And considering the main entrance is the Helter Skelter structure, it's nothing too major. Now THIS is something that surprised me. They've fixed the giant fake plug that attaches to the Helter Skelter (ex Lighthouse) structure. I honestly thought they might've been removing this bit of theming considering it was from the 90's era of LPS and they might've wanted to move forward but low and behold... And finally, here's a video I took of the Volare in action: IMG_7918 - converted with Clipchamp.mp4 In other news, the Tango Train is down AGAIN. I'm hoping this will FINALLY be the time when they finish painting the office behind the ride, but I doubt it.

  3. I'd firstly engage very well qualified and experienced people to work on a long term strategy for the park. I don't know what exactly that would be, but as the owner I would specify the things below, and consult on the rest which would need my approval. That might take a year. Then I'd close the park for 18 - 24 months for major redevelopment. Upon reopening, it would have a new name, and a new coherent theme. The animals might still be there, as might the waterpark, depending on the outcome of the long term strategy. As much as I loved the idea of SkyVoyager, I believe it's now very much tainted with negative perception of its safety. I might rebuild it in a new location and new building, again only if it fits the new theme and plan for the park. The new park would NOT have any of the land sold off (if it's not already too late), and would make full use of all the land (but that doesn't mean it would be overcrowded, or that there wouldn't be any open space within the park. As much as I like the Disneyland copy entrance, it would all be removed and replaced to make it obvious from guests arrival that it's not Dreamworld anymore, but a completely new park! There would be a themed hotel giving guests the ability to have a holiday at the park, a bit like the one at Sea World, but themed as I said, and more luxurious. There would be a range of very good quality, unique, but affordable family restaurants in suitable locations throughout the park. There would be very high quality, unique entertainment both in "street theatre" style, and in one or more purpose built venues, and this entertainment would be refreshed frequently. The park would include a wide range of rides, all very well themed and immersive, and none similar to rides already at other Gold Coast parks. Pricing would be competitive with Village, but would start considerably cheaper to help get people to come back and give the new park a try.

  4. Even worse, Village don’t own the land that Movie World, WnW, Outback Spectacular etc. are on 😱

  5. That would create wayyyy too much effort for us. We're mods, not parents. Instead, we have handy tools like the one I just applied to @Max Egan where we can pre-approve posts until we reckon members follow our pretty easy to follow community guidelines. Also, this thread this garbage and i've locked it.

  7. 7 News ran a story on the opening of the Volare last night. Turns out I've been pronouncing "Volare" wrong; I've been saying "Vol-air" instead of "Vol-aray". https://www.facebook.com/7newssydney/videos/1928879153888311/

  8. Parkz needs that forum feature where you have to have posts approved by admins when you are a new user until you reach a certain number of posts.

  9. I believe a biccy rash is this - but on an Arnotts biscuit Clearly if big ash has said that though, then it’s clear, it’s a new chill out zone, but they can’t call it chill out zone, so instead it will be called the cool out zone.
