  1. I like it, and it fits in well with the existing colloquial names for their slides and beach culture etc. Honestly if you don’t “get it” or the reference, you’re either dense or living under a rock. And if you’re going to be picky - how is “the bro” beached themed? “Fully sick” is Aussie vernacular at its finest.

  2. Fully sick & Bro originates from NZ slang but being Coomera is the third Island of NZ, it fits.😀

  3. I got to experience Sky Voyager for myself yesterday. This is truly a ground breaking attraction and one that our Aussie Theme Parks should be very proud, if not least envious of! SV is 100% the Industry game-changer that DW needs right now and possibly the sleeper hit for Gold Coast Theme Parks this Summer and beyond. Please take my advice when I say It is best experienced from Gondola 2 (middle) on the ground floor. Enjoy!

  4. Look at all that space in the carpark to broadcast from!

  5. The Bro may have a double meaning, but I’m pretty sure it’s Bro because it refers to the Blue Ringed Octopus

  6. I don't mind it. It is a play on words, being 'fully sick' and that term matches the beach based names of most of their other rides. Yeah it isn't the best name, but it works.

  7. The pre-show is poor, but it’s not a backwards step. It’s just over thought out and over the top. The idea in premise isn’t bad, so I don’t see how you can call that a backwards step.

  8. BREAKING NEWS - NEW Dragon's Revenge Swing Ride is LANDING SOON at Funfields. For those 100cm or taller this is a great ride for families! One of many exciting surprises coming to Funfields' new 'Mystic Kingdom' area this season.

  9. ...plus its easily updated when they add a 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th... even though one of them will be less 'fully' and more 'family' and everyone will complain that it isn't REALLY a Fully 9...

  10. Looking good!!! Despite its obvious design shortcomings ( a big letdown from the first concept art released) this park COULD be a great waterpark. A slide like this is definitely needed - the Aqualoop it replaced was rarely used and this makes much more sense and better utilisation of the space. This will help to disperse crowds that much more with another attraction to filter crowds off to. Lets hope that Parques Reunidos , with their vast experience running international parks, can bring about a far improved and consistent experience to the site. Hopefully , we will not see a return of the Season Pass debacle that plagued Wet 'N"Wild in their opening years. Its all looking positive for this park , for now.

  11. Excellent pickup and great to see this park adding to their lineup year on year. Cant help but feel a little sad at the demise of the Burnout ( The Old Dreamworld Stingray) . We rode this as a family in January of this year and the ride certainly looked well maintained and in good condition. It certainly did not have the look of a ride destined for the scrap heap! Shame to see a Dreamworld original disappear from the Aussie theme park landscape. The new ride Dragon's Revenge looks very similar to the The Wasp at Aussie World on the Sunshine Coast. This is a medium thrill family attraction and should be an excellent addition to the parks offerings. Great to see Funfields continue with their expansion plans. With the gauntlet being thrown down by Gumbaya World and new attractions at Adventure World being announced, the mini Victorian park arms race is certainly heating up!!

  12. From a general public point of view, great to see Funfields moving more towards themed lands and these additions will help attract more families to the park and encourage more season pass sales. From my personal park attendee point of view, i’m disappointed because I thought this would be the season that Funfields would build their new slide to go next to the Gravity Wave or build some other teen/adult attraction. Oh well, hopefully the 20/21 season brings more goodies. Also here’s the new park map for the season. Looks like the little kids go karts and Burnout (former Dreamworld Stingray) are going, making way for the new spinning swing ride. There is a new fantasy garden with talking tree, and kids party castle, the kids zone as a whole is also being re-themed to match. The existing kids splash wet playground area is also getting re-themed to a jungle theme.

  15. I had an update and didn’t find a dedicated topic so thought I would create one. Last night drove past RW and the slide has gone vertical with what looks like the whole support structure complete. I couldn’t see an slide pieces from the M7 but I assume they are all there. There were also a few containers in the car park. They have now also started to replace the WNW road signs around the area with new RW ones. Sorry for the bad quality photos I took them quickly as we were driving past.

  16. Ground breaking... except for the preshow. That’s taken Australian Parks backwards, but the ride itself is definitely forward

  19. Took me a little while to realise that was a PCL joke. This is the park that did let them in though!

  20. If they made it a 10 slide tower they could change the name to ‘Hang 10’

  27. How is "Fully 6" (or "sick") beach based? I don't see the connection.

  28. That is kind of dumb. Sounds like a name for a racing slid complex.

  29. Well. I had to jump through numerous virtual hoops, but I have finally got my ticket! I won't go into all the boring details here for fear It'll somehow make certain people feel even more ill, but if anyone's having similar difficulties just send me a PM and I'll do my best to help out (which is normally one of the benefits of forums!)
