  4. Just when you thought that there was a Museum for everything, life comes and slaps you in the face. The World's First Vagina Museum will open in London on November the 16th. Please see the below link for the full story. https://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/uk-vagina-museum-london-scli-gbr-intl/index.html I must admit, when I first read this I cracked up. I mean seriously, a Museum for Vaginas!! But the more I thought the more I could see that there is a hole in the market for something like this. Someone has worked years to get this off the ground, beavering away tirelessly to make it happen. Now it is here and they are ready to pull apart the beef curtain and let visitors enter. Oh i am sure this will have its detractors- there is always someone caught up in a flap but I reckon this will be a massive success. What do you guys reckon?? 😉

  6. I checked into Dreamworld today and gave The Monster a go I must say I was really surprised with how fun I had with this, it’s definitely not just for the kids, I saw a lot of parents/adults getting a kick out of it and I found it took a lot of energy out of you if you try to speed run the course. Do give this a try if you are heading into the park for the next two weeks, especially worth it if you are a Passholder as you get free admission, or if you are popping into the Happy Halloween events, which I will certainly be attending Anyways enjoy some unedited photos on my end 😊

  7. Seriously? Thanks AlexB - not sure why that particular post was offensive to ole Push - he wasn’t mentioned, it wasn’t even directed at him!! He is officially a cockwomble.

  14. Wow. Not sure why my post would attract a nauseating emote. It was a fairly inoffensive post I thought. Seems a bit petty to me.

  15. It's because they are treating all 3 parks as 1 park and it's getting Village into trouble waters.

  16. Surprise surprise - i disagree. The park needs to stop telling people what their plan is, and put their money where their mouth is. reopen eureka mine ride wipeout has 10 more years adventure river with wildlife right beside you VR on MDMC Sky Voyager opens this summer. What do all of these things have in common? Stop fucking talking about it and JUST START DOING IT.

  17. Yeah I don't understand calls for seasonal operation. DW historically runs at a profit in winter. You fix the park you fix the need for an off season. I also don't fully understand people who want to hang on to relics from the past (Reviving the Gold Rush theme, really?), spend multi millions on new stuff AND make DW a discount option. Discounting prices is something you do NOW to get through the short term when you've got nothing to advertise. It isn't something you do when you have a full strength park that's just had 2 or more of the Gold Coast's best new rides added to it.

  18. Adventure World did up the Bounty’s Revenge ship and placed it elsewhere in the park after the ride closed. They also replaced it with a Gyro Swing the season after. Some kind of reminder might be nice.

  19. I read the statement from Dreamworld again; 'What were you doing in 1993?' I wonder if anyone remembers what DW was doing in 1993? I'll give you a run down; in the years leading up to 1993 DW was sold to a new owner. The new owner siphoned money away from Dreamworld to fund other things (mostly a lavish lifestyle and fast cars for the owner). By the early 90s the place was on the verge of going under due to lack of investment and mismanagement. In a bid to save the park, a new ambitious ride was installed; Wipeout. That ride captured the public's imagination in a big way, and almost single handedly saved DW from closing. Twenty five years later with Wipeout closing, DW staring down both barrels and DW themselves asking 'what were you doing in 93', wouldn't it be nice if someone at Ardent reflected with 'DW were saving a failing park by adding a bold new ride. Maybe we should do that again'

  20. Literally, the only thing I'm giving Dreamworld a nod to is actually announcing the ride's closure, rather than going into months/years of maintenance/SBNO. Ironically, the only time I've wanted a shaded structure in that area was to watch people on Wipeout.

  21. The train only has two carriages attached at Dreamworld, one of which is not completely seating.
