  1. Dreamworld’s senior management team is appointed by and reports to Ardent. They negotiate and accept remuneration and bonuses tied to the performance of Dreamworld and in many cases share-based incentives that put their motives directly in line with that of the parent company. There were no evil corporate overlords forcing decisions upon a hapless Dreamworld team. Just systemic and cultural failings at every possible level of the organisation. You can perhaps argue that Dreamworld as a brand (or some other intangible concept) was a victim of its owners’ shortcomings but to suggest that Dreamworld as an organisation is a victim takes away a lot of blame that falls to them for many, many short-sighted, naïve and demonstrably reckless decisions in the years both before and since Ardent took ownership.

  2. The persons that ‘should’ have been responsible at Dreamworld for safety of this ride had the same risk assessment training I have. They had more experience working with amusement rides than I have. Yet they failed to see ANY of these risks, let alone all of them and claim they couldn’t possibly have known/shouldn’t have had to know. Shame on them for their slackness and incompetence and disgraceful of them that they don’t take responsibility today. The actions of every person responsible for the management of ride operations and maintenance in that place were down right disgusting.

  4. Painting has begun on the Ex-Big Dipper / Cyclone/ Hot Wheels Sidewinder. The track is being painted blue, similar colour to the supports. I suppose this rules this out as being called Gold Coaster? Pictures From Amuze.

  5. Blue track and supports look pretty gross imo, hopefully, they do the alternating blue and gold as @themagician suggested, that would look nice and I agree would fit into Gold Coaster name, like sand and beaches.

  6. It's better... Much more fluid movements, and those TOP SPINs have some serious speed to them! Just because Wipeout had two independently moving arms, didn't make it better.

  13. It was several years ago, before any of these members were here. TLDR there was a member who believed that the LED eyes on the scooby doo cars were fire sensors, and the cars had the ability to reverse backwards through the dark ride section if a fire was detected.

  14. Funny how the fire sensors have the same spacing as the lights.🤣
