  1. Currently at best it's abstract theming. A Vortex is one directional where SW have broken all the rules of the universe. Not only is it not spinning correctly it's egg-shaped. I'm sure it looked great on paper but I will be viewing the ride from a front on perspective. Anyway I will leave my final judgement to the end but I do have a bad feeling.🤨 Yes @Gazza I understand what SW was going for. All SW need to do now is place a few inflatable tube guys on top of the Vortex walls and we're ready to go.

  5. Thanks @AlexB. I, and obviously others, where under the impression it was to be another parks coaster, and it would have to be shoe horned to fit Dreamworld, like Cyclone was (although that was second hand). Good to know its actually built to suit the site, rather than the site built to suit it.

  7. Thought I would create a topic in case anyone wanted to discuss or share photos of former attractions or shows from the parks ( Corkscrew, Bermuda Triangle, Gremlins etc) or talk about how the parks could incorporate elements of former attractions into their future attractions etc Meanwhile, I recently discovered this image of an actor portraying “Rodney” in PASS. It seems the stuntman would travel under the set via tunnel to get from the toolshed to the main building. ( Source: Youtube)

  9. From Mack, I believe. Dreamworld didn't necessarily get the other parks' coaster, they got their build slot. Whether they built the same or different was up to the park, and hence why we've seen the additional elements like the triple launch and spike.

  11. When they announced the attraction, they also said there would be a viewing area of the dolphin lagoon. Does that mean that small pathway that wraps around Vortex will that viewing area? Because that’s even smaller. Unless that idea was scrapped or they are yet to build some decking to view from I agree @AlexB for what will most likely be on of the most popular areas of the park and this pathway is likely the be the main entrance point that people use, that is one small pathway EDIT: I’ve screenshot the footage at its highest quality (would have been the smart thing to do in the first place) to see a lot more detail You can see at the entrance to the area they’ve started to install some form of fencing/arch. Could this possibly be for plants to be grown on? And it looks like there won’t be a fountain at the entrance either, just another garden bed 😏 Queue area to the right and the exit will be just to the left of it (This could be another bottle neck situation in peak times) Im also interested to see where they decide to put the attraction signage. Possibly on the concrete footings to the left of the photo Hopefully the building to the right will be covered up with plants over time

  13. Whilst I am may not have agreed with all Skeet said the other day, there is zero place anywhere let alone on a forum like this for making light or jokes of people’s family members dying. grow up.
