Nail on the head! its not about Dreamworld or Village, its about long term Gold Coast tourism. The hotels rely so much on these major attractions to bring people in to the Gold Coast. Its about the economy and jobs. If you cant see that then i agree, you are a moron!

They are handed government money to keep about 1000 people employed, along with all those funds that filter down through the supply chain that keep probably hundreds of businesses turning over. If you cant see its in the states best interest to keep a significant employer in business, paying their bills, paying for goods and services, money that ultimately flows back to the government, and instead focus on a miniscule maximum potential fine of 4.5 million; Youre either blind with rage or a complete moron.

Correct, MW is now showing queue waits for everything except Splash Zone and Fun'n'Games. The VQ offering hasn't change however. As of today Sea World is still the 3 attractions, Movie World - 8 Attractions and Wet'n'Wild - 4 Attractions.

My vendetta is the owners of that Company which was a childhood treasure to all is a bloody joke of idiots who couldn’t organize a chook raffle let alone run a theme park. Much as this seems to be your own personal crusade now (we get it), the reality is you can mount that same argument no matter what income the park gets. It's a closed system, and the fine, frankly, is irrelevant in the whole sad tale.

Hopefully everyone who gets government fines will now be given 10 times more money to help pay them 👍

Fine opinion to have. I disagree, but I will say the ride 100% wasn't made better when they rerouted it for storm - to put it very gently. It's not a world beater, and in its current form is a bit sad. But I think if you were to spend money to bring it back, it would be better bang for buck than demolishing everything and starting again. I don't think SW should be built around it though and it's not a sacred cow, but for now it's there and the whole park is so sad that it should be opened till a cohesive plan exists to use the land properly.

But also fuck them if they try to change?
