  3. Stole this from a youtube vid but I do think the change of grid burgers to B A R R E L S Burger bar looks so much better than an out of place Car theme in ocean parade

  8. That was a ridiculously long post with so many practical errors on how mechanical and ride systems need to actually work. It’s not a tractor in a paddock or a dam water pump. You can’t just bang it on a contractor and use a couple hundred dollar clutch on the drive she’ll be right. I’d suggest learning a lot more about how ride control and mechanical systems are put together before giving such a lengthy technical analysis and set of instructions again. It’s also laughable that you think the rubber rings for the rafts are some kids inflatable.

  9. took our first visit of the season to WnW today. the place is a mess. AquaLoop closed, looks like some form of groundwork taking place at the base of the tower, Mammoth closed Calypso Bay closed (sign says due to it being a seasonal attraction... funny, if a 30 degree day isn’t the correct season to operate, what is?) SurfRider closed - the upper sections of track on both sides are removed and not onsite that I could see. Sensors/cables just hanging down on the remaining track. Blackhole closed - surrounded by scaffolding on all sides, and sheeting covering the entire side facing Tornado. toilet block in H2O zone closed, obviously Calypso toilets closed too. pizza shack closed Photo kiosk closed so you have to go in the exit shop dripping wet to see/get your photos All slides in desperate need to repaints. Having been at WWW last weekend, WnW feels and looks like a second rate regional water park

  10. This might be a controversial opinion (or maybe a brilliant idea, either way) but does anyone else think Wet n Wild should be closed down entirely and incorporated into either Movie World or Sea World in the same way that White Water World is connected to Dreamworld? Granted I'm not the biggest fan of water parks in general and the overall lacklustre state of the park I only know about from Brad's trip report in this thread but considering how few rides they have now it would almost make better business sense to attach them to one of their other parks. Movie World is the obvious choice because of how close it is for transporting the rides, but considering Sea World's seaside locale and how empty that park is I think the latter would be the better choice.

  14. Wet n Wild gold coast really needs to paint most of their slides. As well as that the park should also get some bew slides such as: -New Tornado 32 Mammoth slide (Maybe similar to old Mammoth plunge) -A new HydroMagnetic Mammoth Tornado (With a conveyor belt) to replace the existing Tornado slide -A new Bowl+Wall Hybrid From proslide like the Tsunami surge at six flags over georgia -A tantrum Alley This as well as revitalising the back of the park (Removing Extreme H2O branding, Opening up new lockers and maybe a snack bar)

  15. @T-bone just remember prior to October 2016 Dreamworld did hardly any maintenance and I doubt they have learnt to check the track prior to painting it. Remember Wipeout they wasted $$$ on a refurbishment and it only lasted another year. Tower of terror never got a upgrade Rocky hollow log ride was refurbished but then closed a year later as well

  16. Well someone is definitely right about steel fatigue sadly, yepppp Dreamworld should've checked this before doing a complete repaint but didn't. This explains why the maintenance period is extended to December and we might not even see this ride operate again.

  17. Why on earth is it called the Gold Coaster when it isn't yellow? Could've renamed it somthing to do with ocean parade?
