  1. I'm currently over in WA and I think I understand where the inspiration for the new Atlantis came from.

  2. Hello everyone and this is another update to the construction! There is exactly 1 month to the opening of LPS! Things are slowing down construction wise. While operations wise it's springing to life! Safety fencing is being put around Sledgehammer. The first pieces of track for the Big Dipper, including the first launch track is now assembled! The construction of the coaster will continue till December as apart of Stage 2. I've heard about the employment crisis at LPS. I'd love to sign up to give more of a helping hand✋! Even though that I'm an honuary Team Member. That doesn't count as being Employed. Otherwise, Open Heath and Safety would shut LPS down like that! But I'll be able to in December! Pretend it's a promotion... I can only do the Boomerang at this time @Kevin. Next update will be whenever I get there!

  3. I produced this clip back in 2019: https://m.facebook.com/watch/?v=551686829004471&_rdr Originally the clip was going to have a lot of cool callbacks to past vision of the park I sourced and link it back to a present day celebration of sorts. What I had learnt in the edit was that it really quickly turned into a just a video showing off how much stuff used to be there at the park and how much wasn't there anymore. Anticipating what the comment section would likely look like (not to mention the posts on here) ultimately meant the edit was abandoned and I ended up going with a purely present-day focussed clip. I'll say this to the fine folks who want to buy rusted up koalas or want to build shrines in parks about yesteryear - they only work if you're coming from a place of high. That is to say, history is great if the messaging is "look at how much we've grown and how good things are now and look at our humble beginnings you remember" not "remember all the rides we closed that aren't replaced yet? Here, sit in a carriage and pretend you were having that experience instead." Here's hoping Dreamworld can become the former and not stay stuck in the latter for too much longer.

  4. I think that bloke's been trying to sell it for a while - the price is pretty ludicrous (2k) if you ask me. Granted it's not 40 year old Koala "needs a GoFundme and national coverage" expensive, but still pretty bad.

  5. I have recently applied for the rides attendant position there, I have an interview tomorrow! I will also be sure to arrive a bit earlier and try and get some more shots and/or a video

  6. Wait, we're assuming the DreamWorks licence is permanently expiring because they gave away free showbags and some horses were spotted on a truck?

  7. Can't give this a like for some reason, but you chase your dreams Matt. Not everyone gets the opportunity to work at their favourite park - and those that do will always cherish that time.

  8. Yeah, lots of these *very expensive *very elaborate *very niche items from theme park history are things that - if you have one, you're like "that's cool" but despite the ride's popularity, its just not worth the money that everyone sells these sorts of things for. I honestly don't see any difference between this and a koala. They're large, expensive, don't work (or barely work) and the market for one is limited to gold medal fanboys with too many dollars and not enough sense. The park made a mint flogging these off and laughed all the way to the bank, but a private seller finding someone else with the same desire to own one is going to have a hard time finding someone willing to cough that much up.... especially when the park sold them for less than that to begin with.

  10. Movieworld to lose the DC license and DC Rivals to be repainted Green and Brown and called Escape From Sherks Swamp - The Hypercoaster. Green Lantern will be repainted tones of black and grey and called Duloc Traveller Justice League: Alien Invasion to be re-themed to the Dragon Keep scene and renamed Shreks Fiona Rescue. Batwing Space Launch will be renamed Donkey and Dragon Launch I think thats enough.

  12. Last night the NSW Police Minister was giving grief to the ABC because they're apparently holding back information. Here's the follow up: https://tvtonight.com.au/2021/05/abc-extension-to-deliver-ghost-train-fire-files.html

  14. Yes this is fairly common, June is a popular time to end a contract as it is the end of the Australian Financial Year.

  15. Extensions, early exits, change over rules ect could mean not a classic, March - March. Additionally, opening does not mean when the contract was dated from.
