  2. From today’s final visit before the Friday night opening, The lavender green white construction fence was removed and can now see cloud 9 from a better perspective, I got a close up on Boomerangs ride photo cam and more progress on Big Dipper, They have extended the Glenn street stairs closure to the 31st of August, nothing much to really see now since we are less than a week till reopening, I’ll get some pics on the annual pass holder event

  4. Driving past this morning the last piece of track is up. To get a sense of the final height, it is as tall as the part of buzzsaw where the structure tapers inwards.

  5. The quality and professionalism of the Parkz articles over the last decade plus speak for themselves. I think you’re confusing the community who use the site to express their opinions and fandom with Parkz itself. You’re essentially confusing “why didn’t they invite news.com.au” with “why didn’t they invite everyone from news.com.au’s comment section.”

  6. Still amazing to me that they’ll invite out Facebook groups like the dreamworld times who have a sketchy past and have a reach of maybe a few hundred (if you’re lucky) and completely ignore Parkz, despite having tens of thousands of times more reach, all because of a grudge formed because @Richard isn’t gushingly positive. 🤷🏼‍♂️

  7. In a world where DW isn't on life support, it'd be nice to see a boat ride go back on there. Doesn't have to be a big paddlewheeler, I think that ship has kind of sailed but something more on a Jungle Cruise or Snake River Expedition scale would be a really nice way to get a 100% family friendly ride in the park and get some kenetic energy on the river. Doesn't have to be themed crazy either, just have it be a nice leisurely boat ride.

  8. That’s some pretty terrible content. He called Dreamworld “Dreamland” at one point, speculated wildly and passed it off as fact and then recycled the same three shots a hundred times.

  11. Agree. They need to get in popular social media pages/people to their media days. You can see how well it is done by overseas parks, getting Youtubers to document the whole ride & it really gets more people talking & creates hype around the ride. Sure, Australia doesn’t have as many but the more the better I say. You shouldn’t be not inviting people because of their opinions. The whole industry thrives off different opinions & chit chat. Look at us all here right now.

  15. from https://www.ausleisure.com.au/news/aussie-world-opens-sx360-pendulum-swing-ride/ Aussie World has also revealed that construction is well underway on new spinning rollercoaster, to be known as the Dingo Racer. Designed for all ages and will have a capacity of 960 people per hour, featuring seven cars, seating up to four people each, that simultaneously spins while moving around the track. The rollercoaster car will reach a height of 14 metres before twisting and turning along the track reaching speeds of up to 72km/h. Fay added “with so much more in the pipeline for Aussie World in the coming years this is just the beginning of our expansion and renewed focus on thrill rides for the older audience, as well as our family favourites.”

  16. Gingy’s Gliders has returned looking fresh and like it’s had its 10 year full strip down and fully repainted. Carousel is still mostly missing and off-site. Dronkey flyers have returned Tower of terror tunnel coming down very quickly Lots of demo happening in the park yesterday and over the last week. The log ride sign was thrown in the bin while I was there. Few logs remain and theming left to the side but the site is pretty much all flat and lots of earth being brought in. IMG_6398.MOV

  17. Hard to really compare the claw as it doesn’t go upside down but SX360 is a faster, more enjoyable experience, takes a lot of turns to finally go over the top but the ride spins very well so you are always feeling the speed, on the single rotation cycle once it goes over you get great speed but ride ends soon, on the 4 rotation cycle the speed is fantastic as it hits the top speed and holds it for the four complete rotations over the top and it definitely feeling like an extreme ride. The harness is great ( I weight about 108kg) and it very roomy, not tight and seats are deep. Ride staff are a little slow on loading and double checking harnesses but will improve over time. I can’t wait to visit again in a few months for the opening of the next ride “dingo racer” the spinning wild mouse.
