  2. But didn't they get this because a production slot for a BF clone opened up so they could get the ride sooner. In my opinion its a great ride, the launch is average but the reverse spiral makes up for it because it's forceful. Rest of the layout is great, good mix of elements, in particular the corkscrews and the roll at the end. Even though DCR is still the best ride in Australia, this is a great multi looper and the best in that category here. As for the age of the layout...I mean Batman clones are from 1992 and they still slap. Anyway I'm not sure why the glasses things is relevant. If glasses were allowed on DCR but banned on ST, that would be a mark against ST. But since no rides let you have them here, it doesn't really factor into a comparison imo.

  5. Cringe. Just wondering did DC Rivals or Superman allow glasses with a strap?

  6. I wouldn't say that would need to be the case, it would be better for the park to store it in on-site rather than pay somewhere to keep containers of track off site. Pretty sure I've seen places have roller coaster tracks lying around for years before being put up.

  7. I also thought referring to them as 'credits' went out of style a while ago. A simple 'i've ridden 180 coasters' conveys the same message, whilst simultaneously allowing non-enthusiasts to understand you.

  8. Pressure washing for the first time is like shaving for the first time. Once you do it once, you have to keep doing it.😀

  9. My mistake, it was the large saw blade only (according to Dreamworld Past and Present Facebook)

  10. So is Steel Taipan 💁‍♂️ I dunno, when I rode it I never had the impression it was underwhelming or unexciting (And that's having visited the same parks you have), and anecdotally guests love it.

  11. The parallels are a bit too striking to ignore... it's almost as if the seats had slats that were spaced too wide apart... and they've filled in that spacing with a different material to make the seats functional... #toosoon? Personally I think no smoking signs would be tacky. The park's smoking policy is made very clear in park maps, conditions of entry etc etc and unless the rest of the park is signed accordingly its too far. If It became a big problem - having smokers there - then perhaps staff should monitor or patrol but giant no smoking signs shouldn't appear in this space. As for a plaque or a story to explain it - i'm with this guy. Perhaps it is better that the memorial remembers the people, not the incident and the horrible things that happened to those people. Side note - I assume that the three chairs together are the Dorset\Goodchild family and Cindy's chair is the single one on the opposite side of the path?

  12. I personally took it to be a Wedge Tailed Eagle - similar to 'Goldie', Could it be referencing Bunjil in Australian Aboriginal culture - the creator who took the form of a wedge tailed eagle? the link above also talks of six shamans who took the form of various birds and possums \ gliders - i'm keen to know what other animals are inscribed into the pole.

  13. i’m sorry but i don’t think the parks future hangs in the balance of whether or not they bring the steam train back or not. They’ve most likely looked at it, decided the upkeep, training and everything that is complicated with a stream train isn’t worth investing into it. Also, the fence is better then having a rusty fence that use to fit the aesthetic of two rides that are no longer there.
