  1. After spending the whole day at the park here are some things i noticed the park does well and what they do bad. good: - wide variety of food options with current outlets and new temporary outlets such as boost juice and donutime (even if they looked very out of place) - good guest interaction from charecters - wild wests boats and road runners trains are an improvement and it was nice seeing something to do with these ride getting some love - Batman exhibit is a cool and interesting experience, however one of the weaker ones out of the showcases. - Green Lantern was getting trains out faster then normal and the chain was completely stopping when there wasn’t a train on the lift, made it a lot more quiet. However, that’s all that really stood out in terms of the good things the park were doing. bad: - the operations were horrendous (excluding green lantern, scooby doo.) Batwing around 3-4mins, Rivals 5-7mins. WWF was ranging from 1-4mins. - very noticeable roughness on Rivals with the backs of the seats being somewhat exposed from the front which didn’t look great (could possibly always be there but this was the first time i noticed.) - 50-60% of the effects not working on JL, Scooby and WWF and barely any to none working in the villains unleashed area - areas such as the Kids area need new audio as it is nearly dead silent besides the noise of the rides and people (also an update is definitely needed.) - food was highly priced for bad quality - a lot of the park was pretty dirty and needed some TLC. - the Scoob 4D experience was not much better then yogi bear, with them just snipping scenes out of the movie, putting them together and creating a story that doesent make a lot of sense at all. - Arkham and it’s old tower facade are a bad eye sore and need to be replaced urgently, especially when 3 of the major rides were closed most of the day (scooby opening around 1.) - staff being miserable and rude, obviously not wanting to be there with some making comments about how sucky the job is to customers. overall it is obvious that the park is in decline, with it now being the third best on the coast (Dreamworld 1st, Sea World 2nd.) will make another visit in the coming weeks to see if there is any improvements. Hope this helps for anyone wanting to plan a trip or not being able to visit and wanting to know more info on what’s going on within the park.

  2. Scooby is still an enjoyable ride, it’s just disappointing when we know what it once was. They just need to spend some serious money again on it

  3. I've heard that this was due to staff leaving. And it seems, unfortunately, that the current staff are back to not being interested in creating attraction updates etc. Disappointing. Meanwhile it looks like the Leviathan station is going to be amazing. But I wonder why they're apparently doing something so good for this, but they created the world's most basic stations for GL and HyperCoaster.

  4. The new speakers have only been installed around new/upgraded rides. All the existing background music speakers (such as those in Looney Tunes Village) have been completely neglected, hence why there hasn’t been anything playing there for so long.

  6. Straight up - end of april start of may, i'm not planning on waterparks (and I notice most of the other responses don't tend to include them either). Winter is a big time for big maintenance. If I look at the state of Movie World two days ago (see other thread) there would be no question but to rule it out. Sea World or Dreamworld are the two contenders here. I'm assuming that the answer 'buy all the passes, visit all the parks' isn't what you're looking for, so I figure we're trying to narrow it down... On that basis, and remembering again that it's winter, it's cold, and i've no interest in getting wet, that rules out battle boats and storm, leaving Vortex and Jet Rescue to do the heavy lifting against Taipan, Sky Voyager, Giant Drop, Gold Coaster, and so on. I'm no fan of Dreamworld's but in the current situation - there really is no other option.

  7. Can't be real at all. There is no mention of it being world class.

  8. Yeah, just on the staff shortages thing "because Covid" or whatever. To the paying customer when they can seem to find plenty enough staff to wheel around popcorn or churro wagons or operate cheap upcharge carny games but can't adequately staff the attractions people have paid for you tend to feel pretty ripped off. I appreciate these are differing skillsets, but we are talking about by-and-large unskilled labour here for both, and Covid ain't new.
