  1. Someone should tell SW the demo company can remove flume rides aswell.

  2. If it’s well presented externally and integrated into the park then no it isn’t a waste. A friendly reminder this is the park that had Bermuda Triangle

  3. Considering all options - perhaps they want to demolish the track, and they needed to use the track to get the trains out of the park first? #YouAsked. Seriously though, I can categorically rule out the loss of the monorail. How do I know? Because Bikash told us we'd hear it from them first:

  4. I saw the posts by the demo company last night, but they were captioned 'out with the old, in with the new'. Take from that what you will, but that suggests to me that they've gotten new trains. Given as we understood it, the existing fleet was aging, cannibalised parts to keep at least one in service, the fleet was definitely past it's prime. If Sea World springs new trains on us, it will be an amazing surprise they've managed to keep it under wraps this long into the plans. I do hope we see a MkII train, integrated air conditioning, and all the modern safety features you see in today's transport. Village execs assured everyone when Monorail was taken out of service for construction that it would return. I do hope that they honour that promise.

  5. It’s great to see the park is finally being more transparent about something like this

  6. I would love to see an interactive Bluey dark ride kind of like Toy Mania at Disney, but with less issues than JL. It would be a smash.

  7. I do hope they aren’t removing it for good because that will be the biggest let down after they stated several times that it definitely would return. Hopefully new trains means they have aircon

  8. A 'day' at the park needs balance out of the sun. Some queues are under cover, some animal exhibits too. A dark ride would help on that as well. Obviously I mean the queue, as ride experiences are usually only a few minutes.

  9. I'll have a presumptive stab in the dark on this one - we know the trains were on their last legs for years, and simultaneously they’ve gone to great lengths/expenses to maintain the track and build a wooden coaster around it. Therefore, it's a safe bet to assume that what @Bikash Randhawahas said in the past is likely still true. Perhaps someone can reach out to the park and ask? Is Penguin Encounters or the Jelly exhibit thing wasted space because it's indoors?

  10. I walked past Dreamworlds Carousel yesterday and on the topic of this thread… This is how theirs is, doesn’t look new.

  11. I agree about the first part, there is already plenty of current and upcoming attractions that take advantage of this. But the immersive experience of indoor attractions is still great, I personally love walking into the penguins, or the jellyfish, or the underwater viewing of shark bay, its like walking into another world. Its about diversity and creating immersive experiences. An underwater adventure dark ride would be a smash hit imo.

  12. If you could zip up your pants and stop yelling 'mines bigger!' for just a second and bring it back to the content at hand, then you'd realise that I acknowledged your information and opinions, provided my thoughts on the matter, and respectfully and apologetically declined them. That's not flat out refusing to let it in, that's refuting, you would normally do in a discussion where the intention is more than just flattering egos. So I implore you to drop the ad hominem argument, and instead actually read through and discuss what I wrote in response to you, because the only irony in this thread is a story in two parts:

  14. No RF cards on the interactive elements in the supervillains area, and also appeared to be none for sale. In lieu of this they have decided to let Killer Crocs’ water feature just run constantly, which is cool, except the drainage wasn’t build for that, so it just floods the entire pathway (and also seems a decent waste of water….) Gees…. Just went on JL. Time to just gut that place and start again… I’d say at least 50% of the targets don’t work/register, or the 50% that do, half of those don’t go dark after hitting. 2 from 5 of the projection screens do not work at all (but audio plays for the scene you cannot see), the fog curtain doesn’t work, the doors are stuck open so the effect of the portals are useless, and half the animatronics are dead/frozen. 1/10. Do better Movieworld.

  15. Bluey is criminally under represented at DW. Some sort of indoor ride would be very welcomed. That's coming from someone with no kids who hates ABC Kids Land. Aside from that, they do need to keep the ball rolling and get another big ride in. Obvious pick would be a shoot the chutes this year, followed by a flat ride or a small coaster the year after. A big 1, 2, 3 punch would do wonders. What I think they'll do is spend the next couple years continuing to tinker around the edges and see if Steel Taipain alone does the trick and put all the focus into the hotel.
