  1. Having said that, I'd love them to buy one! Get a B&M inverted coaster, but Lethal Weapon to shame.
1st off I think Dreamworld will get a B&M near river county and will be great to ride with TOT and the CLAW making Dreamworld A great park. But putting Lethal to shame is a stupid comment mate they are in different leagues lethal is a SLC Vekoma from 1995 and if DW build a B&M in 2006/2007 of course it will be a much better ride.
if they were to do that then they could easily become the only worthwhile park on the Gold Coast.
What so Superman, Shrek and Scooby Doo are not Worthwhile Scooby just made the top 100 coasters in the world list dude. Ian"why does everybody say one park is kick ass compare to the rest im just glad I live near 4 world class theme parks"Clark
  2. As Clint said. The past few summers Wet N Wild has blown every park away attendance wise I talking 6 to 8 thousand a day constandly. So Dreamworld and Movieworld have been second fiddle I guess the heat, price and locals have alot to do with wet n wild. So the park knew that had to expand, and as for second hand if someone offer you something at way under value would you say no? So as fans just be happy when all our Gold Coast parks add new things because its great.

  3. It certainly helps to confirm the theory that WnW is only doing this as a last minute thing to compete with Dreamworld Waterpark. I'm sure DW will pull out something with a lot more thought put into it than WnW's latest area
Wet n Wild had this H2O zone planned well over a year ago and didnt even know about Dreamworld's plans these new towers Mach 5 and Black Hole were from Wet N Wild in Brazil as they were selling them as they were closing. So I would call that a wise business move money wise rather then worrying about what the competion is up too. As Samuel L Jackson said in Pulp Fiction Assumption is the mother of all F***Ups! ;)
  4. ^nah just really fast load times 90secs just like how fast Dueling Drangons is in the states. Also alot of people are too scared to ride or too big or short. But to get a idea the other day there was around 300 people in the queue and we were waiting about 10mins max to ride and that is amazong if you ask me.

  5. Yeah, they did say December to the press but I suppose they decided to get all the workers on SE so they could get that thing finally working. :D
When you say "thing" are you talking about that coaster that makes Dreamworld's coasters look like a sunday afternoon drive with Martha Stewart. ;)
  6. Coasterinterview.jpg Hi guys, are you sick of reading reviews, newspaper and all the other educated stuff or uneducated with bad gammer when I type.. Well now you dont due to the magic of Audio and the Internet. Earlier this week I was a guest of Coasterradio.com and reviewed on air Australia's New King of Coasters as well as other great Aussie stuff like beer. Download the Show HERE http://libsyn.com/media/coasterradio/coasterradio_133.mp3 Ian:)
  7. yea cedar point ranks at the top of the top if not the best, cant say, havent been there but it looks the best, I dont think they have different parks they only have the one in Ohio, is that right? So I dont see how Australia would get a Cedar Point, espec as its named after its location, That parks so good cos all there effort goes into the one park not 7 or 8 or whatever, but yea any new park would be very welcome
Cedar Point is owned by Cedar Fair. Cedar Fair own Cedar Point Knott’s Berry Farm Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom Valleyfair Worlds of Fun Michigan’s Adventure Castaway Bay Indoor Waterpark Resort Soak City (5 soak cities in the USA)
  8. yea i see where u comin from i was thinking of like they were gonna build somethin simular to the original "DisneyLand" in Anahiem and just put Mickey with a cowboy hat ridin a kangaroo or some ...... I think Australia needs a decent thrill park yea Dreamworlds alright, but something like a Six Flags would be good, although Disney would bring more tourists! so maybe they build disney first and then some many ppl flock to se qld from international places and then they build a six flags afta seeing how sucsessful disney was, like thats gonna happen anytime soon tho but hey its possible, I dont think coasters are everything, I enjoy the whole experience themeing etc, but Australia as yet dosent have a World Class coaster, and a Six Flags would bring it -
thats cool. But I would rather have Cedar Fair rather then Six Flags as its a much better run company then Six Flags check out these photos to see what I mean. Cedar Point Photos
  9. i rekon a six flags be way better, yea disney is the original theme park but its more for younger children and they dont specialise in many thrill rides there focus is more on themeing, forget disney get a six flags
Dude get real, I love roller coaster but Disney is not just for kids, Disney has great adult rides Have you ever heard of Tower Of Terror, Test Track, California Screamin, Maliboomer, Journey to the centre of the earth, Expedition Everest do I need to go on. Sorry dude Im not targeting you it just really annoys me when people think coasters are the answer to everything.
  10. But further than that, my suggestion is just to demolish the film studios. I mean, they don't exactly make much in the way of 'big' films there. The only recent 'Hollywood' movies made there to my recollection were House of Wax, Peter Pan and Scooby Doo (and considering the sequel was filmed in America, does this mean that the Gold Coast studios were not up to standard?) and plus they are all films that probably could have been done without. So my suggestion - get rid of the studios. Afterall, major films made in Australia are done in Sydney at Fox Studios.
They actually use those studios all the time for big movies from most film companies including Universal, Fox, WB, New Line the list goes on alot of projects are kept quiet just last week there was a war scene being film in the swamp. The thing now a days is alot of movies are filmed in 4 or 5 locations just check the credits on the next movie you watch and you may see the following. Canada Crew (with names) England Crew (with names) Hong Kong Crew (with names) films are so different compared to 30 years ago. As for Space at the park this is in the pipeline, but to quote from a Brittany Murphy film "Ill never Tell" but I would say you guys will have a clearer picture come 2007.
  11. Let me shed some light on superman. The boss and the CEO of WVTP were both in southern california last year riding all the new rides and when they rode xcellerator at knotts they were blown away. So thats where it came from then I would say at a guess that they had a meeting with WB burbank and Intamin coasters and thats how the Superman theme and design was born.
