  1. In your opinion would Seaworld survive a a popular theme park if they didnt have the animals?
  2. We went on to Dreamworld in christmas 2002, and a couple of things happen with TOT. First of all it broke down for about 1 hour and operators refuse to tell us what happened. It was hell being stuck in those halls without any sunlight or air. After getting on it all went fine until half way through the day where the ride sped up until reaching about 1/2 of the horizontal track and just slowed right down and never made it up the vertical. That happened a couple of times that day. I was told by others that it had nothing to do with interference by the GD. Then the GD had malfunctions and it just dropped at about 2 km per hour which took like 5 mins to reach the bottom again. I have no idea if this had anything to do with Dreamworld as i thought it would have a different power source but Movieworld had to close Wild West Falls that day leaving the riders to walk out the structure. ?????
  3. geez, rudeness I might not have typed it as perfectly as you like to write your essay's and little nursery rhymes but keep in mind I dont have as much time as you have. Remember there are some people out there who have a life. And who said that you need a bungee swing in the middle of the harbour to make money and where did I mention that 'wonderland needed more room.' I apologise to EVERYONE ELSE for the bad typing of my last post I was rushing...
  4. Yea, that stuffed up 2......I meant to write isn't it interesting how the wonderland forum seems to be the most visited of them all (at the time) and yet it is the most complained about theme park IMO. And about the other post, in summary I meant the bungee is extremely popular in QLD mainly because of the younger backpackers and tourists that visit. Then why wouldn't one down here do as well, as there is nothing of its kind around here. And if WS don't build one then wouldn't it be an idea to buy land behind and perhaps build. You would probably have alot of the park guests already interested. Thanx for the fix up!
  5. But with the bus loads of tourists wouldn't it be beneficial to add something of its sort. And if I am correct the only of its sort in syd (and NSW??) I mean something to get the adrenaline running, all the back packers were trying it in QLD, why wouldn't they here....plus if wonderland dont wouldnt it be an idea to just buy the land behind as a seperate small company, t would attract the interest of alot of the guests. I know there might be stingy financial problems but I think wonderland just should take the dive and just build something, no need to share your opinions on that dont worry, even if its a small carnival ride turn permanent. Richard can ya explain the last sentence on ur post, you lost me. ......isn't it interesting how boringest theme park!
  6. I was just up in cairns for a holiday and went bungee jumping and it occured to me that we have no such thing in sydney at all. And alot of the American theme parks have introduced the large 3 person similar bungee swing (skycaster, minjin). What are your comments on wonderland getting a bungee jump, bungee rocket, bungee swing?

    WS abusing Marvel contract

Ok, maybe not heaps of large rides but again the dollar is better than ours, and include that in the building of just one ride. It could easily be twice as good...and yea thats if there willing to. And yea i agree very low possibility.

    WS abusing Marvel contract

I think it is sad reallly. Many people would disagree with me I am sure but with Wonderland having to rebound back to the public with characters and bla bla bla instead of other methods. Back when Wonderland introduced a new ride every year, i doubt they would have needed the help of the Hanna cartoons to attract. I know it is a risk, and they have financial problems (if) but if they did introduce new rides every year, eventually wouldnt they have the money rolling back (dont quote me on that though). I mean something as large as Space Probe, which was the first freefall in the world. Here is an idea, longshot but wouldnt a petition big enough attract the attention for a new theme park say from Six Flags. Think of the massive rides, compared to our crap, they could build with the current state of the AUS dollar. Thats my opinion....

Which ride best fits each age category?

I agree Space Probe for teenagers and adults, but The Demon more popular amongst the teenagers although i find it boring and simple. I personally think Wonderland could have boost popularity and profit by building a full circuit steel rollercoaster rather thatn a boomerang. But then again i guess the boomerage would have been the cheaper choice. Also I would alter the small lake in the middle and make a more suitable theming for the ship, some how i think it has very minor theming that does any good.
  10. Which ride do you consider to be best for either adult or teenage category?..and to make things interesting which ride would you remove from the park if you were in control?

Could/Is Wonderland relocating or changing setup?

Maybe you should read over the forums again before you post a reply. thses forums are for opinions and do not need to be correct. And i was refering to the point made by joz about the contract expiring with "HB", i mentioned that the closing contract did not mean that had to close the area but just the HB titles.

Could/Is Wonderland relocating or changing setup?

But if you think about it, they could be changing the layout. There carpark area is massive they could fit an entirely new themed area there. And the whole factory thing. That i dont understand, why would they sell the land directly infront of the entrance, why not way back in the car park. And still getting rid of the rides, does not get profit. It may get some extra money but again not profit. Theres your maturity Daniel...Plus the whole expiration date of HB did not mean they had to close the area/land

Could/Is Wonderland relocating or changing setup?

Lets get that straight, obviously the aim of a theme park is to gain profit, by getting people to enjoy themselves, hence rides. If you get rid of the rides, you are not gaining any profit at all. You are basically getting rid of the profit you could have gained. Profit is the money you make, not the moeny you use and then get thrown back at you. And ever since I was 5 I have had a wonderpass, and let me tell you I have seen the rides drop from the map. I think just by that you should be able to see that, yes, " I am person interested in and know about theme parks". Now, from there on in your message you lost me, i aint gonna argue that (no offence). L8ter

Could/Is Wonderland relocating or changing setup?

First of all, i can guarantee that a large percentage of people that walk in the gates of Wonderland a teenagers. And by the second paragraph you were already refuting what I was has suggested was happening. Every single word that has dribbled out of your mouth and everyone elses, has only been rumour, I mean look back to those from march and april they were crap that never was true. And the comment that Wonderland is only interested in profit, happy customers + rides = profit. Getting rid of rides does not mean they r interested in profit. And to Daniel, I am sorry if I interpretted your messages wrong, but hey, we both feel for that. But I think that those other uses should welcome and be open to newer uses and their customs to the internet. l8ter P.S My name is rewind, then rewind backwards, you can figure (hard to word)

Geez, u's ppl are confused....the only reason i type slang is bcos it allows u, i mean, you to type with ease. No where did it say that you must ype that way, but wateva turns u on. AND it isnt my problem that you dont have anytime to read other ppls messages, some courtesy you were talking about. As far as i have read, you people are those that most use this website and you people are the ones that give a negative impression to those newer users. But anyway, ill start over bcos i aint as slack
