  1. I'm sure they would make it so that you would have to come out the other end before the next person goes, and if you're stuck in there they'd get you out! and sure, impose a weight restriction, they do the same with height, no? our society is large, most of society shouldn't have a problem. I'd find it fun.
  2. Loop-Slide After a 4-year development period, 2 prototypes on a 1:1 scale and innumerable trial slides by brave employees, we can present the first functioning looping water slide. Wouldn't that be awesome! I've heard the stories of action park but this one seems like its been researched. opinions? A thrill slide for sure
  3. The walking's only with the regular slides (set of two) and the aqua racer (which we did four times) the taipan was annoying as we went up and asked them how long it be three times. when we went up there first they said 30 minutes, then 30 minutes later 40 minutes, then the time after that was only 10 minutes so we waited until it opened. It isn't all that bad really, just a bit of an annoyance I suppose that's really the only way to do it given the parks location.
  4. No, on the straights it just slowed down a lot, and really wasn't all that "action packed". yes, the wave cave thing was awesome, I didn't know how to explain it. I do like how there is a little aboriginal influence in the wave cave/kids play area.
  5. This is my first trip report so don't expect anything elaborate. My friend michael and I went to jamberoo for the day yesterday, and it was a fairly enjoyable experience. We left palm beach at 7:30 to get to the park around opening time. Traffic was pretty bad so we got there around 10:40. We walked through the gates to see rolling hills of "meh"-ish waterslides/do it yourself rides. The le mans raceway: You ride around a concrete circuit in unbelievably slow "Audi's" The most boring ride in the park. Highlight was when a little kid cut my friend off and he ran up the back of the little kid who started yelling something chronic. The toboggans: Pretty slow, but they were a good time waster. The queue line STANK though. Chairlift ride up was enjoyable though, it didn't break down untill we got off wait about 10 minutes at the bottom, 5 at the top. wave pool: It was great! much better than wet 'n' wilds. it had a sort of boomerang shape to it, and the "waves" were bigger. The two regular (body?) slides. Basic old unreplaced wet 'n' wild whitewater mountain slides, with a few tunnels. enjoyable enough, wait was about 5 minutes The lazy river. Better theming than wnw, with a grotto and various water "obstacles" - five things that spray a trail of water into the air, jets that push bubbles up to make a fountain, lots of waterfalls, two bridges, great scenery. I liked this ride. walk on. Aqua racer:Great fun! I loved it. I won 4 out of five times against well and truly grown men.. (i'm surprised they fit into the lanes!) and my friend lost every time. And a sore loser too.walk on. Taipan: Was shut down for an hour and a half... 11:30-1:00 because the ring returner thing broke :s we got two quick goes when it opened though before the crowds came running. GREAT ride, beats mammoth hands down. the darkess and little dips inbetween corners make a stack of difference. The rock: You jump off a rock.... choice of three or five metre jump into a five metre deep pool. 5 minute wait. you couldn't even do flips :s Overcast most of the day, though it didnt rain. Overall a very nice park, moderately themed and a lot of fun. the food wasn't too bad either. If I missed anything it probably wasn't worth commenting on. Feel free to ask questions though. TOT
  6. Haha ouch Gazza. How about stealth or something about half as high as top thrill dragster. I meant that kind of ride Sonic, (from the last page). The problem is that the general public doesn't really care about theming all that much. Everyone I know prefers Dreamworld to WBMW as it has more thrills, and everyone knows that Dreamworld has pitiful theming. I don't even think that theming has much to do with a ride. I LIKE Cyclone, but nobody else does because it has "horrible theming". I'm just looking at it from The companies point of view. Then again, a ride with little theming may seem out of place in a moderately themed Amusement park such as WBMW
  7. Cmon something like Balder. OR i wouldn't mind an Accelerator like Xcelrator (sp?) from Knott's.
  8. By the sounds of it its gonna be a hectic year next year. (Hectic in a good way). Oh no, i'm sounding like a "bogan" (for want of a better term). Seems like Village Roadshow is intent on knocking the final nail in the coffin that is Dreamworld.
  9. R.O.T.M is good by the looks of it, but indoor/outdoor attractions seem much better off as you get the best of both worlds.
  10. Question, how is the pressure on the "guns"? I don't know, they just don't float my boat. Genius (sp?) Pun ^.- I'd rather they just built another double screamer. I loved that thing. Why did they get rid of it?
  11. I'm not sure. I don't think the splash battle is all that exciting. You would probably need a pretty large pond for it or else there would be too much water wastage I'm guessing. An enclosed bowl sounds pretty good, though i'd like something along the lines of wild west but in a smaller form. Perhaps put in a normal Amusement park ride like the rapids ride or a log flume.
  12. Just out of curiosity, what other slides are there that www don't have/aren't installing soon that are mildly thrilling/worthwile? Should probably exaplain what i'm asking here. Not in WnW either, but for competition purposes if you get what I mean. I wouldnt mind the looping waterslide from action park... if it was safe that is. Back on topic. I think whatever movieworld chooses to do, they'll do it relative style. Well better than anything dreamworld has done anyway.
  13. The x cars are different. I'd prefer a vertical lift one though. More exhillirating (sp?) and a much catchier landmark. It could work, as long as everything is lime green.
  14. Never mind, the pictures probably copyrighted. Vekoma tilt? World firsts seem to be all the rage at the moment.
  15. LOL. Anyway, I really hope that they do build a "major" attraction. A Eurofighter would be an exciting (insert word equivalent of add on here) to the park. ADDITION, yes i'm not slow.
  16. You, ash.1111 are a tease. gee i hate the central coast, with no waterpark and all.
  17. The queue Line looks interesting. It looks like the flowrider queue line, or what the flowrider line used to look like (i went last october, not sure if its still in the same place or not)
  18. i really hope dreamworld do spend the money that they are wasting on theming for the park. the only theming i sort of like is the claw, and the tower of terror walkway thing.
  19. i liked big buzz, admittedly i was only what...10? when i went there, and couldn't go on all the "rides" but it was still fun. also the competition from ton 'o' fun has probably overwhelmed them. i hope someone buys it and makes good use of the space they have. they have a couple of waterslides and toboggans and all that type of stuff there. i hope some young entrepeneur buys the park and turns it into something good, but i seriously doubt that that would happen, because tourism there just isn't that great.
  20. I was taking a stroll through forster shops today hen i saw that bigg buzz is up for sale, for only 1.3 mill. thats pretty cheap for a 53 acre block with rides on it + a 5 bedroom house. just thought id let you guys know.
  21. in my opinion the zipper was horrible. it hurts when you hit your head on the roof. half priced rides were ok though
  22. Thanks for your help. *thumbs up* hehe.
  23. How do they load people onto the floorless coasters that have four seats in one row? its a question that has been annoying me lately. Thanks.
  24. I don't have any mates rates passes but last time I was up in the Gold Coast I bought a coca cola drink from Mcdonalds and it said "Half price admmission to Dreamworld", not sure if its still going but maybe you could try that. The maximum per drink was 4 adults. It was either Adults at kids prices or 50% off. It was funny because we went to mcdonalds 1 Day after we went to dreamworld and we paid full price for 4 people. T'was funny. Anyway hope this helps. (BTW it was in Tweed Shopping Mall or whatever it's called.)
  25. yer it really hurts doesnt it. i havent had the chance to try the whirly wheel yet though
