  1. - Personally Ive got no time for an arcade at a park. Coming from Sydney, I can visit Paradise centre or whatever it is now called on Cavill Ave - the old Grundys !!!! - If I want a go on a driving sim. I personally would like to see some older style ammusements in there....real retro stuff, mechanical pinballs, those old fortune teller machines, etc etc. - and if they must go "video games' - the older the better - Moon Cresta , Asteroid, Bezerk etc etc - all 20c a game !!!!!!!!! Showing my age now !
  2. A couple of Yes / No questions .... Is the eye still opperational - Aug 23 ? Has a close date been confirmed ? Ta D
  3. Intencity - the pinball parlour franchise.....is also owned by Village Roadshow ! http://www.intencity.com.au/int_about/int_...nt_about_1.html D
  4. - tyres for wet weather use will not work..... The train will loose traction. From my days at AWL, friction rides were the first to go down when there was any sort of wet weather - Bounty's and Wizard's Fury prime examples. what you will find is the train will 'launch' but not at full power - resulting in the train stopping mid track. Keep in mind that there is no gravity to propel this coaster - compared to a traditional coaster.. Having said all that - The ends justifies the means. It could use big rubber bands for all I care, as long as the ride itself is a unique experience. D
  5. Mick Doohan is a GC local, Wayne Garnder from Wollongong....not a bike expert but I think Doohan won more titles than Gardner....
  6. ----full size replica 500cc bikes . Opening is timed perfectly around peek motor sport time in Aust. The only problem I can see with this, making the assumption that the bikes will be race themed...Tobacco sponsorship will prevent them from being 100% accurate. Doohan's Rothmanns Honda was very distinctively coloured..including the big Rothmanns logo....
  7. Looking at Churros pics...the track is very low to the ground ! The workers are standing leaning against it........obviously fencing etc SHOULD keep people out from there.....but personally, it looks a risk. Does anyone know anything further re an open date ? Im hoping for a Sept school holiday open, as we are up from Syd. then.... D
  8. Gazza, Have they given an indication on the open date for the coaster ? We are driving from Sydney late september/Early October for a family holiday - read that at the wife and I + plus friends dragging the kids along with us.... BB doesnt do anything for me but any new coaster is worth a ride. D
