  1. Technically Dreamworld has a wild mouse only it is used as themeing in the area now!
  2. At least one of the parks are actually trying to make an effort with stuff like this!
  3. B&M as mentioned seem to be more controlled and knowledgeable when it comes to designing. I can name two Intamins that have been modified recently due to reasons sighted as g-forces. Sure B&M trim but I cannot recall them changing elements/sections of a ride due to what seems to be unplanned/unexpected high g-forces.
  4. ^ Is it me or is there an echo in here? I wouldn't mind a wooden coaster but it must be around rocky hollow/gold rush. Another thing I would like if it was done is the merging of the area into one themed area instead of two similiar areas. The thing that is worrying me the most is the 7 million budget mentioned.
  5. Believe one of the biggest complaints with them was their horrendous downtime. Have heard good things about the ride experience themselves but the fact they were not operating more than they were is what has caused such a negative view of them.
  6. If it is costing too much to maintain and they can't keep it at a decent standard I am all for the removal providing it is replaced by something equivalent. I cannot see another coaster being put in but another dark ride would be ideal. One of these shooting ones I hear so much about would be an idea replacement. Interesting to see how well themed the replacement attraction will be and if there is a storyline or if it will just be a queue and ride setup with no pre-show beforehand.
  7. What is it with China and all the good new coasters of late? Seems they are popping up everywhere there.
  8. Looks to be yet another Australian theme park related site. They seem to be coming from everywhere all of a sudden! As for Bermuda whilst it is sad to see it go the signs were there. Age, broken effects, removal of pre-show. When questioned about the pre-show they replied back saying the removal of the pre-show setup was to improve guest experience, I remember something similiar happening with a themed area of a park... As mentioned it will be interesting to see how long it is until Looney Tunes suffers the same fate. Looks to be only a matter of time at the moment.
  9. But that was only one incident.. oh wait!
  10. ^ You want more rides? Go to Movie World/Dreamworld. Sea World is a marine park! I am interested in seeing how the final product looks. When I was there in October it was a squarish looking building. Hopefully they will do some themeing on the outside to look like an iceberg or something. Either way if Polar Bear shores and Shark Bay are anything to go by it will be a great addition and one I will check out when opened. Wouldn't mind doing Castaway Bay again on a warmer day (and without shoes!).
  11. Have to admit double rainbows are quite awesome. Not as awesome as a Skittles rainbow!
  12. Cannot see either of them doing it. They have enough to worry about with their US parks and SF has been international before but sold them off due to debts. Coming out of bankruptcy I doubt that SF will be looking to build a new park any time soon.
  13. Couple of screenshots, the main boxed area is current ride footprint.
  14. Had been playing around with something like this before and designed something that would fit into the current footprint. Video below shows a section with a cobra roll that extends past the current footprint (for visual appeal mostly). The video below contains no theming as it is not 100% final.
  15. Expect something more like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Telstra_...Phone_Tower.jpg than a single cell. Looks like it will be aiming to service a large area.
  16. The DA was lodged by Optus so yes, it will improve Optus Coverage. Wonder if there will be any in park between the two companies.
  17. Not like it is the first time it has been done **looks at Six Flags**
  18. Since at least when the latest VIP offering was released. There might not be any mention of discounts for annual pass holders but a reply I got about it says there still are, they just aren't publishing them for some reason.
  19. At the moment it seems to be speculation. Ardent have released capital for the next 3 years for additional attractions so the chances of something next year would be high. Guess we won't know 100% until this time next year.
  20. Will agree with GoGoBoy and say something like a Giga coaster would be needed. Something like I305 would do really well and be a nice addition to the skyline (just in a non yellow/red colour scheme!).
  21. Don't forget about the roof opening as well
  22. Why is it then my dw/www $99 pass is a proper card and offers discounts similiar to a annual pass? Seeing this is making me question getting a "VIP" pass!
  23. Might I suggest http://www.dreamworld.com.au/Attractions/E...941459466236263
  24. I would have gave the guy more credit if he pulled out No Limits and showed a track from it and not RollerCoaster Tycoon 2
  25. Police Academy Stunt Show? It might be gone but was part of any enjoyable day at MW!
