  1. It is only Sea World annual pass and Myfun Mega pass holders that get free entry to the water park, all other ticket/pass holders have to pay extra to get in. As for the price, for what is a giant zoo I personally don't see the value in $72 to get into the park. If you really love animals and want to do things like dolphin swim then yes but going there with the same intentions as other parks (for the rides) then it isn't in my opinion.
  2. Have to give them credit for the sign being correct the last two visits. But find it funny most days if the queue gets too bad the other side somehow is able to operate without anything noticeable (other than another operator) being done to it.
  3. Big question is with a pass now cheaper than full day entry is this the price we are paying for getting in cheaper. Sure $70 for a pass is cheap but when a single day entry costs more the discount has to be offset somehow and this seems to be a way in which this is happening. Along with meals no longer including drinks at some parks. Problem seems to be people want things cheap but also want things to be the same as they were full price. It obviously is one or the other and a very valid point of you get what you pay for. Over 6 months of very cheap entry and I am surprised people didn't see this coming sooner.
  4. Sounds like our parks may have competition with food then
  5. Off topic but was there today and the log ride is looking great, patch work job? Nope looks the way it should with a replaced drop and worked on lift. As for illuminations there are speakers going up around the fountain. No point taking photos as well all know what the look like but I am going to guess they may have something to do with it. Only time will tell if they are. There was channeling around the whole water feature area so it is either this or they are doing a slight upgrade of the audio system for the area.
  6. I played COD4 for one match yesterday, quit and went back to MW2 afterwards, too much nade spamming and seems to be more campers. The kill streak and death streak setup is much nicer in MW2, there are the occasional noob tuber but they usually don't last long.
  7. Have never had a problem getting change from the photo shop either. I generally avoid the superman lockers as I find it more convenient to use the full day ones. Although the only time I tried to use them the change machine broke and spent ages waiting for someone to come.
  8. One question, how will storage of personal belongings be handled? Will lockers be forced upon us or will there be somewhere to leave our stuff?
  9. With Corkscrew shut the queues for Sea Viper just got longer Interesting thing with Movie Worlds is there is no mention of Wild West Falls yet.
  10. 'Superman Escape' - closed from Monday 3rd May - Sunday 25th July inclusive for scheduled maintenance. 'Superman Escape' - closed from Monday 7th July - Sunday 20th July inclusive for scheduled maintenance. Anyone else notice two sets of dates are in the same range? Wonder if it is a typo and another attraction will also be down at the same time.
  11. Wonder how popular 'very popular' is as there seems to be a lot of people asking about where it went or what happened to it.
  12. Forgot how great the park looked before the roof and the horrible screen at the end. Didn't realise though that there was a show performed in the cafe.
  13. Wow, never heard of Uncharted 2 until reading this so guessing it is a good game. Will agree that MW2 is over-rated. For me it is the MP that is the downfall of the game. Could have been great but they have been arrogant with it and ignored anyone that is not in the US and killed what could have been a great multiplayer game. Will say though it is great to piss people off because of the lag XD
  14. Just because he slept with children doesn't make him a paedophile or child abuser. It might be hard for you to just understand this. Sure there were claims but they were all proven otherwise and who wasn't to say they were just for the money. MJ was a pioneer for popular music just like bands like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Metallica were. If it wasn't for theme the genre could possibly be way different today. Getting back on topic. Whilst a theme park can seem a good idea lets hope by the time they actually come to building it they have thought it through properly and do it decently or else another Hard Rock Park will be what we end up with. I will say the location is unusual and going by what I have read on other forums and seen on Google Earth I wonder if the locals will afford a place like this and it doesn't seem the area you would want to showcase to international visitors. Only time will tell and a lot can happen between now and the building of the park.
  15. Much rather listen to his music than the alleged "music" that "artists" produce these days, Soulja Boy and LMFAO now there are a few prime examples of "talentless hacks". Same can be said for most other manufactured artists these days, ** looks at Guy Sebastian ** I know I sure don't "like it like that"!
  16. Err, Sea World is a marine park/zoo so I would be thinking it is high up on why people go there. Most of the attractions are educational so I would be saying that is why they go. If people wanted to go to a park for rides and thrills Sea World would be as high on the list as the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is.
  17. They are down a path, north of the photo shop. Looks like you paddle them around the ski lake. There is a small pier/pontoon they are attached to.
  18. Best day for me would be a Sunday, every other day is either work or something else planned.
  19. Yet to come across any aimbots (must be limited to PC for now) but there are a lot of campers in multiplayer. Nothing like being one kill off heli/air strike only to "run into" someone camping.
  20. Whilst it is a good game it all falls apart when you go into multiplayer. Matchmaking that looks for games within 100ms but throws you in with americans 11/10 times. I have found one or two games local (looking at peak AU playing times) with the rest being US or Europe/UK hosted. At least COD4 didn't lie about finding games local then just dumping you with a US host. Don't know if PC players experience the joy of this but the moment a US player enters they automatically get host of the game, can have 11/12 Australian players and it takes that one person to ruin it for everyone else. This happened in COD4 and was hoping that it was fixed in MW2, unfortunately not. I for one won't be buying this game for PC! Single player so far 7/10 Multi player 2/10 (being very generous)
  21. Took about 45 mins to get through SE queue last night, the place was much better and crowds seemed smaller to last weekend. The rain from the storm I found helped with at atmosphere of the place. Queues for everything were reasonable and made the night much better. Definitely going to head to one of the higher priced nights next year.
  22. Just a warning, even though this weekend is "full price" they were selling return passes for this weekend for $9.95 each. I will say they need to limit tickets to a lower level, the queue for Superman was the worst I have seen it. It was a good night but would have been better if there were less people and more to do after 9pm. If Dreamworld can do 10pm for Screamworld why can't MW do 10pm. I know the residents are a little closer but it isn't like it is an all summer thing. I am returning this Saturday night mainly for a photo trip having done most things on the 17th.
  23. Wrong, they were running both trains on Superman all yesterday and all last night. Took just over an hour to get from outside the queue area to on-ride.
  24. Must have been stopped booking on Q4U as I was in the giant drop line and people were still entering it at 9:30pm, did have Wipeout ready on Q4U but missed out by a couple of minutes.
  25. You have to go to the Albert St store in Brisbane and only at certain times of the day when the light in the windows is on to experience "fresh" KK doughnuts.
