no Gazza, its a ride. I think it will come before the hippos, but thats just me speculating, but they way in which it was told gave the feeling it would be this year.
-
I don't know how much I am allowed to say so i wont say much because I would like to keep my job at wvtp, but this is not the next ride to go into seaworld and it is not the place where the next ride will go.
-
This looks really promising, tho it would be disappointing if its a take you up drop you down sort of ride. But a new addition is a new addition i guess.

there is an upgrade both in the surf shop where you can update your ticket.

stopped mid loop on a mad mouse??
-
That would be great but im sure there would be like a weight restriction like if your to light you will not make it all the way around surely? Because you will gain less velocity and therefore it would be hard to keep your momentum around the loop if your to light. Just a side note, I would hate to be the employee that didnt make it all the way around, how would you get out?

The Pirate Ship will be closed 1 - 29 February inclusive for scheduled maintenance. The Corkscrew Rollercoaster will be closed 12 - 30 May inclusive for scheduled maintenance. Interesting to note that the Pirate Ship is closed for the whole month of Febuary, quite a long time.

yes when I look at your camp jurassic photos they are just text for me to.
-
You will notice when they ask if you have anything a lot of people pat there pockets anyway to show they dont.

Apparently people high up in both theme park corporations in Australia keep an eye on this website. So they are hopefully recieving our ideas.

Gazza hit the nail on the head . It will also handle retail stock for Wet 'N' Wild

They Do look a little tacky, especially because of the fact that the park logo is just placed there with a different background colour, makes it look very cheap. I'm all for a electronic plasma/lcd television idea, the central one could always be the big screen in main street, after a movie preview it could pop up the wait times for a minute then show another ad then the wait list etc. I like the idea, i jut hope as Gazza said, that this is a trial and they will place better boards in the long run.

15 rescued from Luna Park rides December 29, 2007 - 1:50AM Source: ABC Fifteen people who were stuck on two Luna Park thrill rides have now been rescued by fire crews. Ambulance officers attended the scene but everyone is now back on the ground safely. Earlier, Melbourne Fire Brigade commander Terry Kimpton said he noticed smoke while working to get the people in Luna Park safely to the ground. "They were trapped on the ferris wheel and on the rollercoaster," he said. 'The smoke started billowing out across the Luna Park where I was working, so I came across to see what was actually involved." Meanwhile three elderly people have also been rescued from an RSL in St Kilda after a poker machine caught fire. The fire was quickly extinguished but thick smoke moved into the upper levels of the four-storey building. There are no reports of injuries.

But i dont want to feel beaten to death when I ride a ride, i want to come off smilingI voted for Lethal. Its the only coaster in Australia that I find actually thrilling. I also appreciate its savage qualities and the fact that after youve ridden it you feel like youve gone 10 rounds with Tyson. -
Yer i must say, im a little excited for the next time i go there to ride them again haha. I just love how the batwing throws you up out of your seat, its crazy. My whole family is shocked i did them, its so unlike me haha.

Just so you know you have Roadrunner rollercoaster as being at Dreamworld . I think its a tie between Superman and SDSC just because Scooby is plain fun and i have just rode Superman for the first time and i enjoy the airtime especially at the top of the first top hat.

I have just got back from a great day at Movieworld and boy am i still recovering from riding Superman and Batwing, not once but twice haha. I went with a friend and we first watched the park opening then went to go to Scooby Doo but it was closed so we made our way to Wild West Falls and did that, it was a walk on, infact the whole day was pretty quiet. In WWF i saw the guy that shoots you as you go up before the final drop for the first time, i was like wow was that always there. After the WWF we walked past Scooby and it was still closed so we went and did the Batman Simulator. After that came Superman, as i was hiring out a locker and typing in my pin and colour i was absolutly ****ting myself. The wait was about 30mins. The whole time i had to listen to the MRT guy talk about how many G forces i was going to experience and i kept thinking why do you have to remind me. We went through door 4, the second last one, through the whole pre-launch bit i was ****ting myself so bad my friend just laughed at me and i was like shut up. Then we stopped. I pushed myself back into my seat and head back then bam. I must say, im not a fan of the launch, it seems to ease off once your outside which is good, the moment im outside i enjoy it especially from the bit at the top of the top hat and your pretty much right out of your seat. over the airtime hills is great fun. While getting mystuff out of the locker i was visably shaking haha. After Superman we watched the Stunt Show and the whole team was really on their game to today and was probably the best performance of the show i have seen, al the actors really got into to it today. We then made ourway to Scooby which was open and a walk on, the lights were on in the final room which is the first time in ages i have seen them on, the way they are ment to be, all other times has been pitch darkness and you couldnt even scooby say escape out of here. Now came batwing, after experiencing Superman i was a little less nervous but still pretty freaked out. This ride was great from the moment you practicly jump out of your seat and the legs fling up. It was a pretty crazy and unreal feeling. After this we made our way to Shrek 4d where the person who introduces you before the piggies and the mirror talk was just unreal, he added so much to the speech that he must of made up on the spot because i've never seen any other people do it he had great enthusiasim for the job. After this we did the two main rides in WB kids. The Loony Tunes river ride and Road Runner Rollercoaster. We then did a second ride of WWF, Scooby Doo, Batwing and Superman. Batwing and Superman were definatly more enjoyable the second time as i was stressing less about it, but i was still stressing a bit . Anyway that was my day today at MovieWorld and the day I rode my first major roller coaster.

Its a special event to be held tomorrow night including fireworks, all staff have been asked to not park on that side of the car park so they have more room and the car is less likely to be hit by fireworks.

that would be just unreal.. hurry up and complete the different designs haha i wanna see them. Like seriously i have said this before you need to be apart of the MW crew, atleast send the ideas in, you never know.
-
and why again are you not working at Movie World in the attractions department? Some of the designs and themes you come up with are amazing and this is just one of them. One thing tho, when you called it anti grav i kept thinking the space shot they used for batwing would have been good for your idea. This was something I dreamed up about a year ago, but It's a second ride for near Superman and themed area. Basically, the area Superman occupies should be fleshed out to be a Metropolis city area: The purple bit is a new ride (I'll get to that in a sec) But the area which is all just sand in the middle of Superman escape would be opened up and would be "Metropolis Central Park". It would be grassed, have European style trees (rather than palms like elsewhere in the park) gardens, and all the other thing found in a park such as benches. A meandering walking path would run around the outside so people could view Superman up close, and the safety fences would be coloured black and be a classic wrought iron style. There could also be a playground for kids (good for keeping ones who cant ride Superman occupied) again with a bit of an American look. The centrepiece of the park would be a roundabout with a bronze statue of Superman in middle (The plaque could say something like "In recognition of the hero of our city" Another feature could be a small stand selling American (or NY) style foods, like hot dogs, bagels, doughnuts etc. If Anybody is familiar with that green stand in main st it would be just like that. People could sit and eat and watch the ride. The sides of the Lethal weapon shed would have skyscraper façades added to it further building on the Metropolis theme. The new ride could be a thrilling flat ride based on Lex Luthor (Ride Name: Lexcorp Antigrav) The basic story would be that Lex Luthor, in an unexpected move, has opened the headquarters of his company Lexcorp for an open day, but it turns out it is all just a trap for him to collect unwilling test subjects to try his antigrav device on, which he eventually intends to use to defeat superman. Again, the ride would have a Skyscraper façade as its entrance, after all you are going into his corporate headquarters. And the inside of the queue would be like this: The 'overflow' part of the queue would just be a foyer area, with a reception desk at one end. It would be like the foyer of any big office building, with polished Terrazzo floors and walls with timber trims etc. The queue ropes would be brass posts with maroon coloured ropes. You then progress into the 'restricted area' where Lexcorp does all its technological development. The walls would be concrete and the floors would be white lino. There would be appropriate lab theming such as this, with some interactive elements like buttons to press and touch screens: After going through the queue you would go into a holding room where you would place your items, whilst this is happening speakers would play a spiel from Lex Luthor, pretty much your normal bad guy rant...resistance is futile, you will be my next victims, soon I will have control of this city with my Antigrav device, blah blah etc. You would then be let out into the main ride area, the ride itself would be whatever thrill ride MW felt like getting, its good because basically any thrill ride would work with this theme. The ride itself would just be themed to look like a bizzare piece of machinery/ evil guy invention...lots of exposed pipes and lines, warning signs and stripes on it, flashing warning lights and the like. The area the ride would be in would be outdoors, and would be closed in by nasty looking electric fences, the ground would have markings etc on it to give the look of a testing area. After the ride you would head out the exit through a small room where you can pick up your items from the other side of the cubby holes. The reason for this ride would be to fill a hole in MWs line up (thrilling flat rides) but also to give more rides for a proper themed area. There is a sort of a contrast too, on Superman you get rescued by the good guy, but on this you are at the mercy of the bad guy. Also, I was trying to flesh it out and prop up the ride itself by having a themed queue so it would sit better with MWs other offerings, whilst also providing a better start to finish experience than DWs flats (which are nicley themed as it is) -
I like it, it is a very appealing site and makes me interested to start browsing, join and contribute. Great job i say. I have no problems with the black bar down the bottom of the site, i am running firefox 2.0.0.11 on windows vista.

You would be suprised. At the moment they are really pushing spray fans and so many people complain that they got wet by the person selling them. There at a water park??Agreed, why is rain a problem in a Water Park? All it would do would make things a little bit cooler....though then again this is the Queensland summer, so it would be humid anyway and rain wouldn't make a difference. -
Off Topic: I just figured out what MAP stands for I always thought it meant the Park Map. Don't I feel stupid.

oh ok, so the more points the better the ending?
