  1. I think about a month ago the media had some stories about how the management of the wheel claimed that there wouldn't be a 'family package' price, but rather you would have to buy 2 adult and 2 children tickets seperately coming to a total cost of just under $100. Would you be willing to pay this for your family to get a half an hour ride in the 'pod' only rising to the same height as a "40 story building" (as quoted on the official wheel website)? To me, it seems like a complete waste of money especially when you can go up to the skydeck in the Eureka Tower (or even the Rialto Tower) which is on level 88, stay there as long as you want with a better view, have access to toilets, food, drink and staff to ask questions for the whole time you're there. Sure, there is the novelty of being on a moving platform but I have a feeling that after locals realise it's not worth the money, all they'll be getting is a few overseas/interstate tourists. Seems like the whole thing is a complete waste of time. Maybe it's just me?
  2. Ahh. Forgot about www.themedattraction.com. Used to visit it all the time a few years ago. What stuff has been/is designed by WVTP 'in house'? Does anyone know who was involved in the design of Scooby Doo? I'm assuming it may have been related back to the production designer of the movie? IMO, Scooby Doo has the best theming of any ride in Australia (WWF would be equal or second - though WWF's 'ride' aspect isn't as good).
  3. That's true. That's what I love about my Disney themeing books. It helps me deal with the long wait before I get there. Best amazon.com purchase I've ever made.
  4. Thanks for the info. It's interesting. For a design company, the Sanderson Group's webpage is pretty badly designed.
  5. Just wondering if anyone knows which companies get involved in the design of rides in terms of themeing etc (rather than the 'actual' engineering of the ride)? I'm assuming each ride/attraction is individually outsourced to a company rather than an in-house design etc (as with Disney's Imagineering)?
