  7. actually smart ass i meant that it is being built by the same people, will use the same launch system, will be the same length and apart from the top hat looks as though it will basically have a very similar track layout (buy the look of the track pieces). I was simply asking for some helpful advice, a friendly opinion. no need to be a d*#k about it.
  8. will this be similar to Rita: queen of speed???
  9. how far along is the tunnel section now...
  10. I am in Sydney, so dont really know what is going on up in SE Queensland at the moment. Can someone tell me what is happening with Superman, have they done anything yet or is it all still just a hole in the ground???

  15. I dont get, why they would be building a wedding chapel, how classy the bride walks down the aile to the sound of the tot roaring past - how romantic. You sure they arent building something else.
  16. Richard, when are we going to see somemore images of the claw now that it is basically ready, the themeing must almost be done now...

  18. Kenny, you've killed the thread, give up on your ten loop, or start a new thread. Nobody here seems to be interested in it
  19. http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery274....htm?Picture=31 the booster bike just doesnt look like much fun at all
  20. If this new coaster is built over rivertown, which at the moment sounds very likely. I wonder what will take the available land from the Thunderbolt... considering the flyer would not be ready til summer 2005, the Thunderbolt site may remain empty for quite some time. http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery274....htm?Picture=31 The booster bike just doesnt look like much fun at all.
  21. The booster bike ride looks pretty gimicky I think. Don't know if it will gain much popularity. Time frame, they are looking to make boxing day 2005 (next summer). If this new coaster is built over rivertown, which at the moment sounds very likely. 22. Im not to sure how many seats on the gyro. but the half pipe would have only taken 16 people on a 2 minute ride. Work out the pph on that one guys and girls (talk about a slow turn over time) If you could be bothered queing for the thing.
  23. Whovere has been paying out the claw should count themeselves lucky the original idea was to put in an Intamin AG 'Half pipe coaster' like the one at Six Flags Elitch Gardens - which would have been way higher on the ****e-o-meter than the gyro swing. Aparently it came down to land area (the gyro swing takes up about half as much space). http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery264...8.htm?Picture=4 it looks hideous.
  24. I'v been told the key to the whole island idea is that the captain sturt may no longer run as it currently does. Instead a bridge would run across to the island much like the bridge across albert park during the grand prix (a floating bridge, to achieve that rickety - amazonian type feel. Derelict bridge). If the captain sturt kept operating then they could not achive low flyovers close to the water as the sturt is quite high and would cause to many implications for the coaster layout. Besides The sturt has been droping in popularity, they might moore it over near model t lane and convert into a restraunt - due to a lack in that area for food?). Or just get rid of it alltogether. Slick, your right the wildlife issues are no longer a problem on the island it has all been rezoned, that was all part of the deal when they started to redevelop the wildlife area. Nebuchanezzar, been told they Zamperla will definatly not be involved (thank god, it sucks) they have not even opend the tender to them. They wont tell me who they have opend it to. But as soon as I mentioned B&M and Vekoma, he said he could not tell me anything, (funny that considering he just told me it definatly wont be Zamperla). I should be nice he is a good mate - and if he says to much could get in a load of s*#t
