  1. COME ON DREAMWORLD! please make this a good attraction, need some decent coasters to compete with village.
  2. I think he was implying that he doesnt get much time outside school holidays to head up to queensland. Being a teacher is hard work, you spend a lot of those 'holidays' building your professional development, marking assignments and tests, and preparing classes for upcoming terms. As for the complaint, well, i think its justified. I know all you technical heads can appreciate the money and effort that has gone into this attraction. But the bottom line is that the ride just isnt meeting peoples expectations. People want to expereience some sort of thrill factor on a ride and to be fair there really isnt any. obviously like gazza said, you couldnt have shooting segments of the ride fast, but maybe parts inbetween segments could be a little more thrilling. And i stand by my last comment, Movieworld has not done themselves ANY favours running technical rehearsals during school holidays. And i do not believe they should be advertising this as a thrill ride.
  3. I went on it, it is a great ride for families and certainly suitable for a chilled thrill-o-meter. The splashdown at the end is good fun, a great addition to the park. Rating Family friendly 9/10 Thrill factor 5/10 Capacity and wait time: 4/10 Overall 7/10
  4. after an hour and 10 minutes i finally got to ride the new justice league ride last week. The ride has massive POTENTIAL as a real doozie. However i have to agree that technical rehearsals should not be something done post opening. I dont understand why there could have been a stand down period prior to opening that they could adequatley run through and rehearse the ride. The storyline of the ride seemed disjointed as the last 2 screens on our ride through wernt even going. The technical faults in my opinion were too high to have the ride open to the public. I also think that Movieworld has to re-evaluate their definition of 'THRILL RIDE'. Given the area it is in (right next to space shot and Green lantern), and that it is listed under thrill ride, the ride is not meeting peoples expectations. My step father refused to go on it because he assumed the ride would be fast with a lot of motion, where its as gentle as a lamb and he probably would have enjoyed it. I think this ride should be advertised as a gentle family ride. And lets all be honest here, we all think this ride would be a lot cooler with some sort of motion enhancement (a spin, a drop, something) in between the 3D segments. Overall rating. 6/10
  5. in regards to this i emailed Village asking about it and this is what they replied. Hi Josef Thanks for your email. It is great to hear that our valued customers enjoy the things we are so passionate about. Thanks for your feedback about Melbourne and Sydney. Our directors continue to look for new opportunities and one day it may be Melbourne. Keep enjoying our parks. Best regards Village
  6. it is a shame, with such a large population and suitable surrounding areas for a theme park you would have thought it would have been done by now. i guess it probably doesnt have the suitable climate here tho for parks huh
  7. So i got excited about sydneys wet n wild and i thought, is there any plans for melbourne? I found this, from 2008, was this still going to happen? or what? http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/victoria/melbournes-220m-plan-for-super-park/story-e6frf7kx-1111115985133
  8. AMAZING WORK MW! and its guna be ready just in time for my visit WIll the cars be slow moving like they are on buzz or will it have a bit of thrill factor too? Either way this ride is going to be fantastic.
  9. I dont care what kind of thrillride they have as long as it is ACTUALLY A THRILLRIDE. And lets be honest, anythings more exciting than the motocoaster.
  10. very sad that i never got to visit this park before it went under, it looked great.
  11. I think its great WnW is getting new attractions, the park beams so much potential.
  12. LOL! Eureka Mine Ride was NEVER THERE!! its merely a plain room that secreted magic mushroom gas to give everone the illusion they are riding the ride, when really they are climbing a large tree situated in the middle of the room. health & safety urged immediate close of this experience, after a man allegedly fell from the 2nd branch, breaking his large toe.
  13. The ride could be less jerky tbh, either that or better padded seats, it was right on my ears and very painful. This is the only inverted coaster i have ridden, but according to my friend with me who has been on much larger inverted coasters such as dualing dragons in orlando, he had never been on one that was that sore on the head.
  14. First time post. I was at dreamworld for the first time ever on the 26th/7th of June. I obviously have never riden the Eureka Mountain Ride and i was disapointed to have never got the oportunity, it looks like a lot of fun. On the friday we were there, it was crazy busy for outside holidays. I guess most kids just wag the last day of school now days. The TOT line was REDICULOUS!! btw, motocoaster was crap.
