  1. it sure is. i had actually forgotten the name of this ride when i found the pics you posted in another forum. when i read this forum, it came back to me so i re-posted your pic for those who dont remember Ned Kellys Getaway. Im just glad someone took a photo of it. Thanks Nightshifter. Im still looking for a pic of Wizards Fury if anyone has one. -Ashley Irons
  2. Has anyone still got any of those Wonderland maps you used to get when you entered the park? I'd love to see a few maps scanned in so users of this forum can see how Wonderland developed over the years. I expect it changed quite a bit since I last visited in 1988. Thanks, -Ashley Irons
  3. Here is a picture of Ned Kelly's Getaway for those who dont remember it. I didnt take this pic, but I remember the ride from my visits to Wonderland in the late 1980's. You simply grabbed a board which you sat on and pushed yourself off the edge and down a slide. The slide was angled so that you were in free fall for a few seconds near the top. file should be attached to this post. -Ashley Irons
  4. Hi Paul, Cold and wet ;-) I miss the weather in Australia not to mention the vast space and natural beauty. The UK has lots of history and it's fairly easy to findwork, but as I grew up in Oz, I will always miss it. We have a few good theme parks over here. The main one I visit is called Alton Towers and has a good selection of rides. Check out www.altontowers.com for more details about rides, etc. Have they started to dismantle the bush beast and beastie yet? Anyone got any photos of it being broken? Thanks, -Ashley Irons
  5. hi guys, thanks so much for posting your wonderland pics. I lived in penrith, nsw (about 30 mins from wonderland) from 1985 to 1989 and remember visiting the park about 4 times. as i was only in my mid teen years at the time so I didnt actually think to take any photos of the rides. In 1989 I moved to the UK with my parents and have always wished I had some photos of those days to bring back all those memories. I will never forget bountys revenge, bush beast, beastie and snowy river rampage. So sad the park closed. It was great in the early days. -Ashley Irons
