  1. Agree with Bermuda replacement, storm doesn't touch the sides. Great to see something new but equally disappointing with what they could have done. Way too short IMO - it needs a few snaking troughs before launch and after splash down - I haven't seen inside the show building, but surely there would have been space to allow for a proper beginning and ending.. Bugger.
  2. In person, there is too much going on visually for what has become a small space.. That final drop area with boats, bridge, shipping containers, concrete pools, tunnel, supports for the ride, concrete from the flume, the flume itself.. It looks really messy, way too busy.. Seaworld need to open it up. It's like 'ok we have all these props, just try and cover up the hole in the ground'..
  3. Uploaded HD versions: Part 1: http://youtu.be/Mc7oVZ3lzLw Part 2: http://youtu.be/CU-JcztlQbk Part 3: http://youtu.be/c_39ScwyC0w
  4. Agree, it looks odd having that one well themed water section at the end, which isn't really visible unless you walk via the flume to the right of the castle. The area under storm looks bad with just gravel and poles.. Water and rocks would have been so much better. Maybe in the future.
  5. Ride is running right through as I send this.. Quite a bit of speed down the drop and into the building.. Water / ending: http://youtu.be/Dbq2czJM31s Boats now coming through without test dummies.. Spewing I can't go on it.. haha Perfect timing on the skyway.. Enjoy! http://youtu.be/gvGqDYd-Vtc
  6. Taken about an hour ago - they were testing the ride and smoke effects (where it dips at the bridge.) There's also a water blast as you pass under the bridge and go back into the building.. Looks great. Apologies for the long part 1, I was hoping the boats would release from the breaks, am still in the park and can't really edit at the mo. http://youtu.be/l-4x5ChdGb8 http://youtu.be/V8yrFKoQSK8
  7. Heading over there tomorrow. Can't wait to share some photos and video.
  8. Lol.. was just thinking the same thing, what a waste of track and half decent theming.
  9. Cade's county Amazons The ocean pool and general vibe of fishermans wharf Magic mountain / water area Grundy's / waterslides / krypton Eureka mine train Lasseters lost mine ride Skaters paradise southport
  10. Not 'disappointing' as a ride, it's awesome the GC / Aus is getting a watercoaster. I guess I'm just surprised, Dreamworld held the crown in thrills for a long time. I always figured they would be on top with the latest and greatest thrills. They have spent so much investing in the 'family' market.. Something like Manta (flying coaster etc.) or an improved mine ride - hell they need both to really pack a punch..
  11. Having just returned from Orlando, one of them needs to build a flying coaster - Manta was the best coaster I've ever experienced.. I rode that baby most of the day.. The first loop was like nothing else, soaring up forwards then back over yourself somersault style, head first downwards.. Oh my, just brilliant. The barrel rolls, water sections and flying close to objects also awesome. Dreamworld should utilize the mine ride area (if structurally sound), expand upon it with a shed and build something mummyesque. Add some shoulder restraints, inversions, multiple cars for capacity.. It's a no brainier if the space is workable.. Now 32 and born on the coast, it's disappointing to see Seaworld getting a watercoaster, MW with Green Lantern / JL and Dreamworld falling short.. I guess WWW set them back somewhat.. I hope Dreamworld has a 'next big thing' account they have been putting a share of profits in to all these years and not blown it all on a waterpark, buzzsaw and Kung fu panda..
