  1. Agreed. A good mix of forces, and different inversions if it has any. I did Transformers at Universal Hollywood, the theming of the queue and ride as well as the movement of the ride was amazing, and the story is awesome.
  2. That's the one! Couldn't remember the name. That splash zone is pretty brutal as well. I got some pretty good photos from there of the splash down as well.
  3. I haven't been on any in Australia in years, but having just got back from Anaheim I can say the river rapids at California adventure can get you pretty wet, but the one at knotts berry farm (didn't go on) I saw people coming off that were drenched head to toe with barely any dry patches.
  4. So I've completed my trip to Anaheim and now relaxing in Hawaii. Disneyland was the greatest experience I've ever had. Everything from the moment I stepped into the park, from the cast members to the rides and the atmosphere of the park. Big thunder mountain railroad got pushed back from the 1st to the 13th February while we were there so I didn't get to ride it or splash mountain. Favourite rides were Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, Matterhorn Bobsleds (after getting used to your spine being readjusted), Star Tours, California Screamin, Soarin' over California, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Radiator Springs Racers. Indiana Jones was a good ride, but only really on the first ride, second time round just didn't seem to be as good. The Fireworks and World of Color shows were absolutely spectacular, so much that I went back a second time for World of Color. One cast member in particular stood out the most, that being when getting on the tower of terror, we were buckled up and ready to go, and after some small talk he said "this ride car has a small malfunction, so we have to move you to the next car. So we will get your seat belts unlocked and start moving you and it will take a few minutes." The instant everyone went for their seatbelts he shuts the starts the ride. Made my last ride for my trip to Disney just that much better. We also did a day at knotts berry farm. Ghostrider and Calico Mine Train were shut, but I got on every other rollercoaster. Park was pretty empty and all rides were basically walk ons. Best ride there is a tie between Xcelerator and Silver Bullet. Universal Studios as fun. Great to see the workings of a studio in their back lot. Water world stood out as the highlight, a great show with funny crowd interactions before and during the show. Transformers ride was amazing and so was Jurassic park and the mummy. Already starting to plan my trip to Florida for Disneyworld now that I know why everyone says the Disney parks are amazing.
  5. Wait... People are actually complaining to their Facebook page about the lack of ice? When they post their complaint about the lack of ice, do they make other complaints as well or are they that pissed off that they feel the need to complain about just the ice? Besides, you're always going to get complaints, and people seem to feel that venting to their Facebook page is the best way (to get other people to see it and build more complaints about the same thing on the one post).
  6. At the scale they're 'proposing' this park to be, I'm pretty you could guarantee a law suit since you would pretty much need Disney's approval to use the word with it being trademarked. You can't just research into it and say "okay, I can use it". Since it has that trademark on it, Disney will want to protect their brand (a recent example being mobile game developer "king" putting a trademark on the word 'candy' and going after other products that use this word that could affect their brand).
  7. Did he seriously compare his entry prices of a simple dinosaur park with no rides to Disneylands?
  8. My uni semester doesn't start until first week of March. I was thinking of going during the week after I got back from America but with it opening at 3pm I probably won't now. Not worth the drive from newcastle, especially if they keep admission prices the same.
  9. Did you torrent it or watch it online somewhere? Or was it on Tv?
  10. To answer your first question, maintenance schedules for 2015? Probably around the same time this years was posted, so January some time. Not sure on the rest.
  11. I wish either one cube or WnWS (or both) would just come out with a written statement or press conference and say what exactly happened and why it was cancelled. One cube have already lost their reputation as a company because of this, and any attempt at making another festival under this banner will probably be ignored by many. WnWS haven't lost much because the majority of people going to the park don't care about what happened.
  12. WnWS just posted on their Facebook page that they've opened up more applications for job positions. I'd think it would be a bit late for that, unless staff numbers had dropped.
  13. Most likely something like this or similar. http://quest-films.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/aerial_filming_dubai.png
  14. I only care because as a fan of music festivals I hate seeing something like this go wrong, but other than that, until they release a full statement saying what happened and why, I won't judge WnWS or the event holder. Found this article about the event. They're now refunding over $1mill in tickets. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw/promoters-of-a-cancelled-new-years-eve-festival-at-wetnwild-will-be-forced-to-refund-1-million-to-irate-customers/story-fni0cx12-1226793390448
  15. That's rough, cancelling a festival at the eleventh hour. Must be a pretty big production issue problem to have to cancel it.
  16. Speaking of lines, anyone been there in the last few days since opening that can say how long the lines have been?
  17. I use chrome. I don't have any problems on how it functions (that I know of, apart from problems buying tickets like gogoboy mentioned which was more likely to be server side problems with high traffic). To me the layout just seems jumbled and unaesthetically pleasing with too much crammed into a small space.
  18. Didn't see that. I'll look at it next time I'm on my computer but still can't navigate through it properly on mobile.
  19. I did a course at uni last year that talked about website layouts and this ticks all the boxes for bad design. It's even worse on mobile, was on it earlier and some pages I couldn't scroll down. They need to rethink and redesign with something that looks good but isn't cluttered like it is now with tiles, and actually provides details on each ride such as weight & height limit (instead of in a whole section on its own), number of riders, thrill factor, etc.
  20. That's annoying. Couldn't the slides like half pipe on that tower do 1p rafts as well as 2p? It makes it really hard if you just want to go there by yourself one day and there's only two slides you can go on as a single rider and the rest you have to buddy up with strangers which you may have to wait awhile for.
  21. Anyone know if single tubes are available on this tower? Was re-reading the Parkz article and remembered Keegs post about it. Looking at the photos of the queues, I think I'm going to wait until February when I get back from America to go to Wet n Wild so that school will be back and hopefully the park will be quieter.
  22. I think the uphill on the Schlitterbahn slide will be long and high enough to remove enough momentum to cause what happened on this slide, plus add on the weight of 4 people rather than 2 and it should work fine.
