  1. Also worth mentioning Zamperla posted this on their instagram. Interesting to see what the coaster ends up being. Looking at their website and the fact its a powered coaster. I wouldn't if its any of these models. Keen to see how they make it fit.
  2. I just thought I would make a thread about all the parks that have reached capacity and stoped admitting people into the gates. This goes really well in my opinion for future expansion of parks to increase capacity to allow more guests in future years. We have seen Jamberoo, Funfields, Adventure World and Outback splash all reach capacity multiple times this season. I am sure there is more that I am forgetting. AW nights is also sold out for each of the nights that have happened which is also good. How have people been finding the queues at some of these parks?
  3. Not sure TBH I could see maybe Gumbya World? Adventure World contacted the media and invited them to come not the European Coaster club themselves. So could see Gumbya World trying to get media coverage with their 2 new big toys on display.
  4. I know @iwerks touched earlier. But I wanna thank Adventure World for also Inviting myself out to the ERT to ride with the Europoean Coaster club today. Was great to see so many like minded people and have some fun on Abyss. The park also invited Chanel 7 out to do a story on it and also provided free lockers, a reserved group space and soft drinks to the club. Which I thought was super nice. Senior management was also at the ride thanking people and asking for their thoughts etc. Overall an amazing day. Side note: Was interesting hearing their thoughts on the park and how confused they were by the amount of lush green space and amount of people bringing shade tents and picnic blankets to a park. and to quote "This is very weird seeing people ride roller coasters soaking wet and in bathers." Im also glad they got to experience Goliath and Rampage. (Which most said was the most intense flat ride they have ever done) and Goliath being one of the best Gyro Swings in the world and a truly world class flat ride.
  5. We have also yet to see Gumbya World buy anything from Proslide. While White Water West are good manufactures would be good to see them buy a slide tower with some major Proslide slides on it.
  6. Just adding to the above regarding SIM cards, I landed in Singapore this afternoon and managed to get a SIM card at the 7/11 for $14SGD for the plan above. So really easy to get and means you'll always be connected and not relying on free wifi spots.
  7. Not gonna lie, I recon we might see more things open flat ride wise post Dreamworld flyer as the tester. Small cheap to operate rides that are not headlining attractions just to earn some extra coin.
  8. As amazing as this all sounds, seems 90% of the park will be a construction site for the next 2 years. But this type of an announcement can easily transform the entire park. Its so many little things that together will really make the park seem better as an overall package.
  9. I just thought the camp net was being used rather than a normal fence for its maintenance period to make it not stand out as much?
  10. It also doesn't look like a typically funnel. Maybe this is why its a world first and it won't be a traditional tornado funnel.
  11. Update from today, seems more work has happened and ride is now undergoing testing. Shade structure for the queue race also progressing.
  12. It seems you are correct. It looks like a set of magic bikes has arrived. Theming so far looks good will be interesting to see how the area comes together. There is still so much land left down on the lower lot. As the DA say a ride will be relocated IMHO I recon we will see little leaper relocated to this spot as its kinda in the walkway to the new section. Yarrli barrel spin also had work done, the roof was added a few years ago but the area has new fencing, new queue layout, new floor etc. See picture from open year (Credit AW) IMG_0604.HEIC
  13. Should have uploaded this earlier this was taken opening day for the season of the ground works. I will try and get out soon.
  14. Python Loop/rebal coaster has no MCBR, once train leaves the station you cannot stop the train. So if it had already left the lift hill there was nothing that could be done to stop it other than screaming for her to move.
  15. Has anyone considered they trying to work how to actually fix it. I don't think I have seen a Mack coaster valley, or any coaster valley in Australia? Its not a quick fix and in a hard to reach spot with all supports and track around it. Valleys of this nature are minimum 14 day fixes at the absolute QUICKEST! I also assume if they take the train apart the train will then need to be tested and signed off before operating again.
  16. Yeah the trailer had a fire and stoped doing major shows, thought it was scraped.
  17. I know it was for sale did they end of selling it? Doesn't seem to travel much these days. Since they stoped taking Sky Walker over to Perth seems they kinda pulled out of the PRS even when they sponsor the show.
  18. Perth Royal Show posted this on Facebook, seems like a new traveling star flyer type ride. If you look at the shirts on the staff seems to be owned by Slingshot company. Good to see the Slingshot finally come back to Perth good 15+ years since its last trip. Was meant to come in 2020 but covid stoped it. So good to see it finally come back.
  19. https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/local-news/oh-erie/cedar-points-steel-vengeance-closed-on-opening-day-after-trains-bump-into-each-other https://www.mlive.com/travel/2018/08/tire_accident_causes_cedar_poi.html See links for news articles
  20. If I remember correctly they had an issue of trains colliding in the station on Steel Vengeance?
  21. While its not a lot of money in the scheme of things. Lets say $30 million for a thrilling coaster, A Mack Power Splash is around $10 million ($6.5 million USD I read) That leaves $10-$20 million for Abc kids world/dark ride. So no slide tower then.
  22. Also worth noting if you listen to the audio recording from the meeting in the Inventory Q&A session someone asked how much these new attractions will cost. Greg said $50-$60 million within the next 3 years of pipeline. (FY23/24/25) That can get a few attractions.. A Big thrill coaster, new slide tower, new Bluey dark ride/ABS world refresh) and a Mack Power Splash.
  23. Its a shame now VRTP is private we can't see their data and compare.
  24. Reading more into the reports themselves: “We note that international visitation is still well below pre-pandemic levels, and this is having a material impact on non-holiday periods whilst the macro-economic outlook remains uncertain. Despite these factors, the business is well positioned with a strong, unencumbered balance sheet, fully owned land holdings and a pipeline of exciting new attractions set to be announced over the next six months.” That last line sounds pretty interesting... multiple announcements or multiple attractions. With contracts supposedly in the works we could see something major open next summer. Mack Power Splash would be good along with a Bluey dark ride/ABC kids refurb. Followed up with a RMC the year after.
  25. Dr Gary Weiss's position has not changed, he remains the Chairmen of the board, the group did not have a CEO since 2018. "Greg will continue to act in his current role as CEO of Ardent’s Theme Parks and Attractions Division and his remuneration remains unchanged as a result of the appointment. Ardent has not had a Group CEO since June 2018 and therefore Mr Yong is not replacing any existing executive as Group CEO."
