  1. Just got home from Movie World and rode DC Rivals twice, the first time forwards and then backwards. It was hands-down the best coaster I've been on, beating X2! Personally, I found going forwards more enjoyable and 'scarier' then backwards for some odd reason but nonetheless, going backwards was so much fun Can't wait to ride it again at night during Fright Nights!
  2. Do you guys think it will be open tomorrow morning/early afternoon? Might be heading down to give it a ride!
  3. We've got the first precinct, I'm so excited for this one!
  4. I noticed that Wyrmwood and Friday's locations have been mixed up
  5. I'm so pumped for next year, I'm already hoping they can do an American Horror Story maze!
  6. I loved From Dusk Till Dawn my third run through (by then I had watched the series and could really appreciate it) and it was really awesome! I really do agree with that though, I did have some lacklustre run through in those three mazes. My first two in From Dusk Till Dawn really lacked in actors, however, it significantly improved over the month and now is one of my favourite mazes. I still wish they had a fake snake on Santanico Pandemonium in the first room though.
  7. Although it's sad another year is over, I'm intrigued to know what was everyone's favourite maze this year and what was their favourite scare? Personally, I loved both of the returning mazes more this year than the new ones (scare wise), especially on last Friday night! We went in every maze twice but only in F13 and WW did the actors really scare me! Each actor chased my friend and I into the following room and it was terrifying! However, I did love both the C2 and FTDT but after going in them once or twice, I rarely got scared. On the other hand, my favourite scare was funnily, enough, the underground mine section in F13. It got me everytime!
  8. I 100% agree! I really think they should extend the hours just a bit, maybe open it until 10:30 or even 11:00 if possible, that way you can get more bang for you buck.
  9. I did it last week when I was at the park and when I did, all the kids got shy and walked away when I told them they can have a turn hahaha
  10. I went to Fright Nights last night as a general public member and to say the least, I was not overly impressed but I still had a great time. We arrived at the back around 5:30 and headed straight down Main Street to get a good spot for the opening (once they had let us through) and go straight to Scooby once the had rope dropped. I really enjoyed the opening so if you do get the chance to watch it, you should. Now on to the review of the mazes, keeping in mind it is the first night and there were bound to be teething problems: The Conjuring 2: We joined the queue line around 6:30 after a quick ride on Scooby to get the adrenaline running. It took approximately 20-30 minutes to get to the front of the maze and don’t be fooled because the queue line goes right through Show stage (if you think once you get through the outdoor switchbacks it’s right at the beginning, you’re wrong). Overall, I really enjoyed this maze, it had a great variety of scares and theming was well done. We re-did this maze at the end of the night and it got even better! I would rate this an 8.5/10. Friday the 13th: We joined the queue line around 7:00 right after The Conjuring 2. It took approximately 20 minutes to get to the front of the maze. Overall, I thought this maze was just as good as last year, especially when two Jason’s are chasing you throughout the maze (this happened the second time we went through around 9:55). I would rate this maze a 7.5/10. From Dusk Till Dawn: We joined the queue line around 8:40 after a quick ride on Superman (about a 25 minute wait for the ride). This line went through fairly quickly and was approximately a 20-minute wait. To be honest, I was not overly enthused about this maze. This needed A LOT more scare actors!! There were so many great hiding spots in there for the actors and not once did someone pop out from them. I will say though, the actors looked superb!! This maze has a lot of potential and hope it develops over the season! Overall, I would rate it a 5.5/10. Wyrmwood: We joined the queue around 9:20 and got the front of the line around 9:40. It felt like it took a century though haha! Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the maze this year, every room had a scare actor if not more in them! The room with the strobes at the beginning was very disorientating but scary at the same time! I would rate this maze a 7.5/10. I found the Halloween and Gothic Hall precincts quite mediocre and hoped they were better but I really enjoyed the Apparitions Precinct, especially when you’re the only group in there! Also, the Day of the Dead precinct though not scary, it was visually appealing and fun to be in!
  11. I will write a review shortly, just wondering, does FDTD have a secret room? I did see C2 and F13 had one and now I know Wyrmwood does.
  12. What maze is everyone most excited for and most scared for? Personally, I'm most excited for The Conjuring 2 because I really enjoyed the movie and can't wait to see how they bring it to life. However, I'm most scared for From Dusk Till Dawn because I believe there are snakes in the television show and I don't cope well with them haha.
  13. Anyone have any ideas on where we will enter and exit the Conjuring maze? Is there any maze signs up yet?
  14. Good news everyone! The Panic Rooms have finally been released, however it looks like they won't be available this Saturday... I've attached an image below of them: https://frightnights.com.au/tours-and-extras/panic-rooms.aspx
  15. Hahaha sorry I didn't word that properly, I was saying instead of having the plain board on top of the Movie World sign, instead having the pumpkin head/mask that's on the Halloween precinct poster as a new entrance and having having the eyes glow, assuming that that precinct is in the fountain area. I hope I made myself clear now
  16. I purchased the unlimited fast track today and it was well worth the money! We went on every ride (that's included in the fast track) twice before 3pm with an hour break during 5-6 time period we were at the park. We also did Arkham twice at the beginning of the day as the line does get long since it is school holidays and the new addition of VR can lengthen it when there malfunctions. Though, I do highly recommend taking advantage of the VR because it's an amazing experience!
  17. I bought my Harley Quinn (favourite villain) wristband today and to say the least, being able to activate and play with all the special effects was a lot of fun! My personal favourites are Killer Croc and Captain Cold! Though you do look like a bit of a maniac throwing your arms up in the air and kicking, it's worth it!
  18. I tried the VR today for the first time and it didn't work the first time I went on, likewise for the other people on our train. We were all stuck in the patient chair for the whole ride spinning around, it was quite nauseating to be honest haha. However, the ride operators gave us all a free pass to come back and do it later on in the day. The second time around it worked perfectly and I must say, I was blown away! It's an incredible experience and well worth the $5, I would highly recommend it to all!
  19. If Halloween is in the fountain which I guarantee now seeing that Day of the Dead is in Main Street and Apparations in the Chinatown alley, it would be awesome to see the pumpkin head/mask be the main entrance to the park and you enter through the mouth personally
  20. What rides do you get on the unlimited fast track at Movie World?
