  1. That's positively revolting. Watt do the people in power at Universal think they're doing? I hope they get to short-circuit the appeals process to charge them with misconduct!
  2. ARDENT Leisure has poached long-time Village Roadshow Theme Parks executive Greg Yong to lead Dreamworld as it continues to recover from the 2016 ride tragedy. Mr Yong, who was chief operating officer for Asia and executive general manager of theme parks for Village, has been appointed chief operating officer for Dreamworld & WhiteWater World. His predecessor Paul Callander has stepped into the newly-created role of chief strategy officer for Ardent Leisure Theme Park and Attractions. Mr Callander had also previously spent five years with Village Roadshow, beginning his career hauling popcorn and drinks to the nosebleed section of the Movie World Police Academy stunt show.
  3. I'm gonna be that guy again. I was wondering if any folks here know what these buildings are used for? Given there proximity to the staff entrance and other offices, i figure the ones in the bottom right are admin or something of that nature. Also a courtyard there, is that front of back of house? Cheers.
  4. Dreamworld have bet everything on Sky Voyager. $18 Million could have got a solid new roller coaster that would gone head to head with MW's offerings. When the GP think of a simulator, there first thought is moving seats and a screen. That is not something that is going to be a park savoir. It could be a park killer.
  5. What exactly happened with Vikings? I'm assuming it was to do with TRR, but was there ever a public released reason for that ride closing? Could they get someone like Intamin to refurbish it?
  6. I had a hunt around but couldn't find any place this fits. If this has already been discussed, I apologize. It appears that Seaworld may have pushed its new ride back to 2020. Does anyone have any thoughts to what we might see? Large scale family ride? New Coaster?
  7. That's one young Larry Emdur. Cheers Alex!
  8. Does anyone have any pictures of the interior? I cant seem to be able to find any. Thanks for your help AlexB.
  9. Is the inside floor of the show stage flat? Or does it have raked seating?
  10. Random question. Whats in this building?
  11. Haha, no public school kids. Most of them watch Youtube instead. It seems a lot more kids watch then I realized, I've happily been proved wrong!
  12. Haha, I meant Aerial. Sorry for my crappy spelling. My comments where made based on the current standing of those IP's. In which case, they currently are not very well known by kids. I know the kids I work with would not know them, most of them don't even watch TV.
  13. Dreamworld has 7 rides closed 😲 They cant even manage to keep watersides open.
  14. I can see it now! "The Emmett Experience" Could do some Q&A, tell some jokes, do some singing and embarrass a few parents. Families would love it! I'm still all for Lego movie. Not in Kids WB though. Maybe you could have a new indoor themed land in the Junior Driving School building? "Animation Nation" or something? (Stealing Slicks Idea here). 4-5 nice flats, a ariel monorail ride overhead, a cafe and a Lego Movie Show. The problem in general is fewer and fewer kids know Looney Tunes, Scooby and the Animaniacs. While they could produce a great show with that, kids just would not get it.
  15. Not many options with WB when it comes to relevant animated films. Lego Movie might be your only option right now. Other then Looney Tunes, of course. I've done some digital puppetry work before and the tech is surprisingly inexpensive.
  16. How many operators does SE run with these days??
  17. There is a few different options, but not really one that draw entire families like Lego Movie in my opinion. I definitely see your point though Push! On another point, I think a digital puppetry show would be a fantastic addition to Kids WB. (See Monsters Inc Laugh Floor at Disney). It would be really unique and cost efficient - You could run the show with just 3 people. In saying that though, we are not going to be seeing any potential large family ride until potentially 2020-2021 so there may be more options available then.
  18. I'f we was to see a new family ride, I reckon something like a Mack Suspended Dark Ride would go down a treat. Would never use Scooby IP though. Lego Movie would be there best option right now, considering of course they actually can get that IP considering Lego Land have it.
  19. Perhaps Movie World can finally get that east coast high-speed rail built??
  20. I'm fully aware its privately owned, but it exists on the internet which by its very nature is public. Oh, and i'm well out of high school. And am old enough to enjoy a pint at the pub just like anyone else. I think I've made my views quite clear, so i'm gonna be the bigger man and leave it at that. I don't want to bombard Dylan's topic any longer. Hopefully we can work together as a community to find a answer to Dylan's great question!!
  21. While I do understand how that could get frustrating, I think some people need to realize that they do not own this forum. This is a public platform where people of different backgrounds come together with a common interest. There needs to be respect between every member, or this site will turn into a place where no-one wants to comment on anything because they are afraid they will get shot down. We want to grow our hobby, not push people away.
  22. Why are people being an ass to Dylan? Rather then telling him to "Unsubscribe" why don't you advise him on how to do things better? He is obviously keen to learn and ask questions. Is that not what this forum is for?
