  1. Just continuing on from this update, the upgrades to these pools have been finished
  2. Here’s the first construction update since it’s announcement: There was some activity happening on the eastern side of the land, with some large machinery a lot of shipping containers on site All the trees have now been removed from the land where The Vortex will be and the creatures will be removed very soon. Sky Flyer is closed for maintenance, so the entire COTD area is closed off With JR also closed right now for maintenance, access through this area of the park is restricted, but I’m thinking (based off the concept artwork), we will see this bridge finally go and the pathway issues in this area resolved
  3. While I think it’s great they’ve installed these, it’s a shame they didn’t install shade sails that were themed to watch the smaller ones
  4. I was pretty sure Bikash had said about it on PCL the other night, but he could’ve been referring to something else
  5. Theyve already done TWD a few times now and I wouldn’t say that series is any where near as popular as what it used to be
  6. @Ash to me, nothing about that tells me it’s returning Edit: the photo was taken from this post
  7. Apparently the competition won’t be happening this year
  8. The last couple of years they have had two mazes in the square shed and one maze in the longer one
  9. I’m thinking that we will have a maze return to the show building that’s now being used for WB Showcase. If we have 5 mazes, it would make sense especially with Aquaman closing next month and the new exhibit not opening until November. Aquaman opened early December last year after FN, so it will be possible. That leaves one maze for the dodgems and the other 3 in the sheds behind WWF
  10. Wow, awesome to finally hear there will be 5 mazes. Very good move, but let’s hope the standard of them will all be high and there are improvements seen across the entire event
  11. Great to see Dreamworld are doing this for all of June
  12. Good to hear everything is working well then
  13. I'm thinking the monorail will just be running parallel to the coasters framework, but will definitely be closed for most of 2020
  14. @Brad2912 next time I’m there I’ll take another look and figure out what I saw
  15. @Brad2912 I’m pretty sure it hasn’t been entirely removed, because I was there the other day and I’m pretty sure just to the right of your image is another detonator that’s on an angle and higher up
  16. I wouldn’t be surprised if the clips they have been using for the coaster were done by @docoaster
  17. @Slick do you know if the model of the area is remaining in the park for public viewing, and if so, where?
  18. I agree, but unfortunately with the current placement and that areas usage for the lake show. It wouldn’t work. The parks entrance was never designed for traffic flow both ways, and it would definitely require a lot of reworking and construction for that to happen
  19. I would say COTD is already closer forever. Considering the works already happening and it says on the attractions page that it is closed until further notice (but not listed on the maintenance page) it has officially closed already
  20. The one thing I hope for is that all the theming and more is added that we can see in that concept artwork and they don’t start cutting costs
  21. Wow wow wow. Awesome to see SW going all out and finally making use of all that new land they reclaimed years ago (but it seems like even more will be reclaimed). I think the theme is great and the choice of rides works very well. I am a bit unsure of the top spin placement, but good to see they are adding in a sheltered area for viewing the dolphins. Could this mean the talk there is going. Obviously COTD is going, but will tie into the theming of this new area Never thought we would see a wooden coaster, which is great and it looks like a real good one, but also unsure about the backwards seating And replacing sky flyer with something permanent, great decision
