  1. My favourite ride was always lethal weapon/Arkham asylum, I know a lot of people hated it for it’s roughness but I loved the ride in it’s original form. Lethal weapons was great when it had the pre ride video, walk thru the junk yard and it’s two trains, was a fast ride with heaps of different elements. looney tunes river ride second best
  2. Yea I saw the construction photos but i fought the toboggan track was going to be reinstalled behind the new ride didn’t think it was going through the new ride
  3. Don’t know if anyone else noticed but one of the toboggans track goes over the bridge
  4. It was only a temporary area that opened in 2018, which cost money on licensing especially when it appears that the dreamworks themed rides are down for maintenance and the theming is being removed. It seems like the whole dreamworks contract for dreamworld was 10 years and it wasn’t renewed in the end.
  5. Tickets for SX360 launch night are online now, it includes some type of memento for Sx360 https://obl.rtbslive.com/aussieworldobl2/aussieworldsx360launch
  6. Yea reopened last Saturday, unfortunately didn’t last a week
  7. Blackout was from Gold Coast, Brisbane up to Bundaberg, so I expect all parks would of had no power for a period.
  8. Also Wild West fall should be open again
  9. Was also closed yesterday as well, it was technical difficulties then.
  10. Are we only getting one train now, the video and announcement from dreamworld only 1 train is on the way. Hope this is only a mistake
  11. There is only 6 intencity stores left in Australia. They have 50 external locations including, cinemas, theme parks, airports, hotels. They used to be huge but timezone or playtime are the main arcades stores in Australia.
  12. If only one train has the spinning seat, that will end up leading to problem when that train go into maintenance leaving a standard train in operation when the spinning seats are part of the marketing for the ride.
  13. More information below is reply I got from jamberoo The Blue Bobsled Track has just been temporarily removed to make way for the new slides but will be reinstated once the slides are in place.
  14. I’m at movieworld today and crowds are huge, between 1 and 2 hour waits for all rides that are open, seems family’s all decided that kids can have the day off. batwing is complete again with ride vehicles sitting on tower, it may open earlier than the 7th may. superman is still only 1 train with the line outside and near the joker statue. doomsday appears to be fully back together and maintenance working on it(control room) so it hopefully it will finally reopen soon wild west falls - all effected are working again including all water sprouts at the back of ride
  15. Yea and the new suicide squad movie is coming out later this year as well
  16. I last rode escape from Madagascar January 2020 and I was 105kg but there was no weight limit. It’s a shame cause I have always rode with my kids but that looks like it won’t be happening from now on.
  17. I expect it to happen especially when earliest government is considering opening borders in October when they expect 40-60% of Australian vaccinated. But that depends on states getting a move on.
  18. That one very flooded movieworld, hopefully that were able to keep water out of the justice league ride building as all other rides are above ground. The park could be closed for a Day or two for clean up once the storms finally clear up and water recedes.
  19. It looks like it will be harder for bigger adult to ride now since it is now two separate seats rather than one long seat where adults could just sit in middle of carriage
  20. found a link with most of story https://news.knowledia.com/AU/en/articles/jamberoo-action-park-s-splash-out-waterslide-to-be-replaced-by-new-cf972e17d5230ed6ff573647e22c739713f1666b see below: It has been a rite of passage for generations of families in the Illawarra and beyond. Over decades, families have trekked up the hill at the Jamberoo Action Park to stand atop the Splash Out waterslide, the first waterslide at the region's much loved water park. It was the first place many felt the pang of anxiety before launching down a whitewash of water, being swayed and swung around before safely splashing into a pool of water and being told to get out of the way of the next person by a diligent lifeguard. Park owner and founder Jim Eddy can only estimate "millions" when asked on how many people would have travelled the slide in its lifetime. While not having the glitz and glamour of the new "whiz bang" modern slides like The Perfect Storm or the Funnel Web, Splash Out has been a family favourite for over four decades. Alas, all good things must come to an end. Splash Out is now in its finals days. It will be disassembled over Jamberoo's winter break to make way for a new $10 million attraction, Velocity Falls, which will be built in its place. "Splash Out was the third waterside in Australia," Mr Eddy remembered this week. "There was one in the Gold Coast and one in Coffs Harbour and the people who built the Coffs Harbour one built ours." In its earliest incarnation many would remember Jamberoo was a grass skiing park, a fad which seemed to come and go as quickly as it appeared across the country. "We built the grass ski park which opened in 1980 and the drought hit us pretty hard ... we couldn't put enough water on the grass to keep the grass growing," Mr Eddy said. "We looked around for alternatives, I saw the waterslide in Queensland and on driving back down the coast I saw the one in Coffs Harbour. "We didn't have money to pay for building it, we had to use our own resources. We were going to go to the bank to borrow the balance to pay the…
  21. Was the drone kept 500metres from dreamworld tower if so all rules were followed
  22. Drove past on way home, sx360 was running, couldn’t tell if people were riding it or it was in being tested but it’s great to finally see it running at last. Hopefully they will announce something soon as well as the spinning coaster
  23. It does like like the frame that held the arkham asylum name in place on tower.
