  1. decided to head down to dreamworld today. Not going to go on too long about it but the hot wheels sidewinder had a couple of men up, working on the track. In particular grinding the steel back in some spots. Very noticble while riding tailspin at about 5:30pm with obvious sparks fying down. Tower of Terror was being tested also today. As everyone has stated above the staff of dreamworld and white water world have been very happy and they looked like they truly wanted to be there. Great vibes going around both parks. The fire machine is a great show that dreamworld should be proud of. And for also extending park hours for free to all guests. oh and the family food deal they have on atm is great! $45 for 2 burgers, 4 reg soft drink, large fries and 2 nuggets and fries. All of it was very nice. Great to see people get behind the park and support it by attending and spending inside the two parks.
  2. sorry man. was on my phone when I uploaded and couldn't turn the pic's
  3. spent the day at seaworld today and i saw this as we were leaving. Staff there were telling me there was an accident down in dolphin cove but they wouldnt comment any further on the situation. Storm coaster was down untill 3pm and when they re opened they were only running one boat. Wait times were nearly 2 hours. Later on though they added another boat to speed things up. sorry about the phone quality pic's btw
  4. does anyone have a time frame as to when the plaza will be finished?
  5. I was up at Aussie World about a week ago and the Wild Mouse was under closed for scheduled maintenance and the entirety of the ride was surrounded by scaffolding. I didn't go over and investigate although it looked pretty serious. When the Wild Mouse goes down for maintenance, is the entire ride usually covered in scaffolding?
  6. Oh sorry @westical. yeah tapping. Sorry I don't know what them being Asian had to do with anything either. excuse the racism.
  7. Is it just me or does anyone else think that Wild West and this new DC Villain area are going to clash a bit?
  8. Went down to Dreamworld today. Looked like a nice day till about 1.00pm then the rain moved in. Quite surprised that only 2 rides (MDMC and Giant drop) shut in the rain today. everything walk on all day. Saw the cubs for the second time today. they have grown so much over the last couple of weeks. not sure what tiger cub it was (one of the orange/black tigers) but it was playing around then all of a sudden sprinted at the glass/plastic panel things and jumped about head height into the glass. The tiger was alright but got a bit of a shock. some dumbass was taping on the same bit of glass just before it happened as well. The trainer in there called a lady who showed up and they started talking about the height of the glass panels as the stupid Asian people who were taping on the glass got a fright when the tiger lunged at them. other than that not much else. oh the Claws floor wouldn't come back up for about 10 mins and the Wipeout had a breakdown free day today. the rails on the rapids don't change it at all. possibly a little less bumpy going back up to the station. very happy with the food Dreamworld have been serving atm. had the slice of pizza, chips and drink for $15 and let me just say, for $15 bucks at a theme park is pretty good deal especially when its really good. Pizza was really good so were the chips. Also had a coffee from green bean and a slice of banana bread and they were very nice as well. Very nice staff all day long and there is this one guy who is been going around on an electric board thing and giving people a good laugh all day. I was up towards the Crocs when he came flying by and told us it was raining and that he had been all over the park looking for us, just to tell us it was raining. (we were very aware that it was raining but he just made a bit of a joke out of it) Apart from the rain, it was a very pleasant day at Dreamworld.
  9. nice wok joz. this would be amazing!
  10. kinda sad seeing the old girl ripped from her tracks.
  11. do you guys think Dreamworld could fix the motocoaster? (without removing it)
  12. I'll keep my list Aussie as well. favourites: superman escape, wipeout, green lantern, storm, Bermuda, aqua loop. worst rides: pandemonium. MDMC. terrible theming and ride layout (the vintage cars were better here also) but in my OP still more enjoyable than pandemonium.
  13. nice collection ninja. I never got into the amiibos but collected skylanders for a bit. I got every skylander for the first game and giants then I lost interest when swapforce came out.
  14. idk just to say its not always empty as alot of you are saying it is.
  15. when I was at Dreamworld on Friday there were 10 people in the Peter Brock museum and there was only 15 minutes till it closed.
  16. well on Friday the rapids where operating fine. About a 10 min wait all day.
  17. hey guys had a great time down at Dreamworld and white water world today. umm sorry I didn't get very good photos because I got distracted. haven't been for a while so I thought id enjoy my day to the fullest. I got a couple of shots of the new white tiger cubs from japan. if the club kindy thing is just a temporary attraction I must say they have done a great job with it. used the space very well. wipeout, log ride and the giggle and hoot hop and hoot was closed for scheduled maintenance. DREAMORD: GIANT DROP: walk on. was my first time on the giant drop and I will say wow. very fun ride. great free fall feeling. i must say though the paint around the entrance in that little tunnel is peeling very badly. TOWER OF TERROR: 20 min wait. not much to say about this one. really love the tower of terror. even though it doesn't go the full way up the tower anymore, still very enjoying. very loud though. every point in the park it can be heard. the aircon in the queue was also a nice addition. TAILSPIN: walk on for most of the day. not my favourite ride but its still looking great. BUZZSAW: about 30 min wait. (only had ride op. is that normal for this ride?) but yeah very slow loading and unload due to there only being ride op. stupid people scratching the wood effect paint off on some of the support beams in the queue. HOTWHEELS SIDEWINDER: walk on. very quiet all day. pretty much the same as cyclone but with a new theme. although the on-board audio was a good edition not Shure about the song choice. the hotwheels sidewinder hasn't even been open that long yet there is a fair built up of bird crap on the top of that weird hotwheels car track thing in the middle of the queue. the track really needs a paint. WHITE WATER WORD: so decided to head over here to the slides to cool off in the afternoon. all the slides except the triple vortex are badly feeding. can they repaint these? Green room was down. TRIPLE VORTEX: 10 min wait. still boring except for the last tunnel. the ride is still looking great. really nice guy up there as well. hyping kids up saying that you go upside-down in the tunnel but it happens I a second so that's why you don't see it. hahaha they stated screaming just before they hit the funnel. SUPERTUBES: 35 min wait. (again with only 1 ride op.) very slow moving queue due to the 1 ride op. I find that this one of the park most popular slide yet they put 1 ride op on it? although it took 35 mins it is still a fun slide. oh yeah and the shade sail things are a good idea and they do help a little with the sun, they really need to be changed. the steel holding it up is rusting very badly and rusting onto the shade sails. so they are a brown/green with brown rust stains. WEDGIE: walk on. very fun. no real complaint except for the rough slide surface. I had a t-shirt on but it flicked up a little and it scraped my back. LITTLE RIPPERS: 15 min wait. maybe the most faded of them all? Hopefully the photos aren't to potatoish? sorry about the lack of photos and th date thing in the corner of the pic.
  18. hey guys. I'm new here btw. I'm heading down to Dreamworld tomorrow. Any photo requests?
