  1. I’ve always heard that the Intamin giga installations are disappointments in terms of airtime, and more or less focus on speed. Like the classic terms Millennium Forceless and Inferior 305, idk those crack me up some how! I will be heading to Cedar around July next year, still ready to make my own opinion on MF, and I’m still so pumped cause i’ve been wanting to ride that thing for over 14 years!
  2. Although I like your ideas surrounding the water ride, I do have to respectfully disagree here. The wild mouse is such a historical attraction, and is the second oldest coaster still operating in all of Australia, and one of 3 wooden wild mouses still operating in the entire world! It also takes up little space, so removing it won’t free up much anyways. What can I say? It just fits in so well there. Unless it ever becomes unsafe, I don’t see this ride leaving anytime soon, it would hurt the park line-up even more. I see too many parks removing iconic attractions, that were operating fine and were totally ridable and enjoyable. Like Arkham Asylum at Movie World, definitely not as old as the Wild Mouse, but was just becoming unbearable with the rattle, even though those new restraints added life to the coaster for another few years. Anyways, that’s just my picky opinion, I do have to say though, having a WWF style ride would be epic ngl! 😆
  3. I actually brought this up while training on the Rockin Tug and Tango Train, and it seemed like it was a good idea to everyone around me at the time. This park’s next ride would definitely be something water-based in my opinion. It’s just the next gap to fill. We have the steel thrill coaster, wooden coaster, family coaster, kiddie coaster, and flat rides catering to all thrill categories. This is the logical next step for a new ride. That land would be great for a ride like this, whether or not it includes more thrilling elements, or is a tribute/recreation to the original River Caves (which is more of a water-dark ride), I think the park would benefit from it in the future. Also, it would also fill in that dark-ride gap as well, two birds with one stone!
  4. We were definitely talking about that. Twisted Colossus was the first RMC I had ever seen footage of, and it blew my mind! Yeh it does seem like the lap bars could be restrictive, especially them leg bars. I’m sure the ride 100% makes up for it with an awesome layout
  5. Can Leviathan just hurry and open already? I need that thing to age and get RMCed! Jk I loveee Gravity Group! I think an Intamin Blitz would be neat… somewhere? Still holding out for the Arkham Asylum announcement on it’s replacement, that’s probably the next best coaster coming to Australia. If it’s a B&M, I will shoot through the roof. Rmc would require much more space for their magic! In my opinion anyways. If a Vekoma flyer ends up here, shut up and take my money! Looks like such a smooth and beautiful experience in Phantasialand. European parks have the best theming for a continent as a whole. As for RMC, my family and I have booked a stay at Cedar Point for next year in June, fingers crossed it all goes well. Gotta ride STEVE asap! RMC is the only company of which I have never ridden one of their coasters. I’m interested in hearing some feedback here from some of their coasters if anyone has had the chance to ride them?? Especially about the restraints!
  6. Agreed. In my head, it’s all about that “full package”. Something with charm, and not just amusement park rides. Maybe something like a Busch Gardens here, Australian animals and such. I know… we have zoos lmao, but It would be so awesome to have a Cheetah hunt-style ride going through Australian greenery. Dreamworld has this sort of thing going with it’s Tiger Island and such, have no idea if that’s still a thing. I just feel like something that embraces the unique natural beauty of Australian land is a must. A good dark ride or two, awesome shows, this is something I believe Sydney needs, seeing as though the tourism market before covid was through the roof for Sydney and Australia as a whole. I would even be happy if “Disney Down Under” made another attempt to formulate here, and hopefully Hong Kong doesn’t steal it away again! 😆
  7. “Pathetic keyboard warriors”? Bro look at what you’ve written… If you are so much more mature and smart than all of us, why even bloody respond? I’m sure you have better things to do with that massive brain of yours. It seems like you have a confidence issue, because you just reflect whatever we say back on us, and make no meaningful judgement (talking psychology, I actually study it haha). And I can already hear the “you’re not a psychologist” coming my way so don’t bother, more meaningful than not having any experience. I never called you names, only described your attitude, and if you can’t take that, and just throw insults back, yeh pretty lame. In reality, let’s say you really were insulted, that this whole forum is against you, and that you are so much better than all of us “morons”. STOP replying to us (cause it shows you’re clearly butthurt), and get a move on, plenty of other forums out there! FYI: I only respond because I dislike people who think they’re top shit, and insult the awesome people on this site. And stop playing the victim card btw, not a good look. Hate living in a time where people get offended from flies landing in their shit. Alright, back on topic people! Still wondering if Sydney’s Wonderland is still making a comeback? Just give us an RMC and I can rest easy
  8. @pazzap I agree with @Brad2912, I’m just 18 even I know that’s pretty damn low. I really like this discussion, and hope for an awesome park through speculation is harmless fun in these shitty times. The fact you went out of your way to insult this guy shows a massive lack of maturity and self-awareness. Age is just a number, and just because you are 50 or older, doesn’t mean you are god. Your arrogance shows that. Please act better here my dude. 🙏🏻 Also, I love the idea of a park situated in Hunter Valley Gardens, gives me an Alton Towers sort of vibe! A coaster surrounded by awesome greenery would be breathtaking, definitely something Aussies would be proud of! If Merlin could turn a castle and it’s gardens into a theme park, I’m sure it could be a hit here.
  9. Trains on BD were going around the track today, performing hazard checks without the launches. Bar is being used to make sure near-misses are indeed misses XD
  10. Ahhh ok, I get confused easily lol. In that case, absolutely.
  11. Big dipper is confirmed to have tyre launches unfortunately, but it should still be a quiet launch. Some LSM launches can be a bit loud, like Red Force, but then again RF is going 180km/hr!
  12. For Hagrid’s Magical Motorbike Adventure, and Velocicoaster alone, I can’t deny it is the best of the two; its a shame I visited Universal Orlando right during construction of Hagrid’s But it was still an unforgettable experience!
  13. They are adding more support structure for BD as I type this, and there has been more track installed as well. IMG_2205.MOV
  14. It’s funny because this event was originally intended to just be for the trades people who worked on the new and improved Luna Park! I guess they want a bigger show XD I’ve already booked my spot
  15. Yes sir! Been on The Hunger Game Capitol Bullet Train coaster at Motiongate Dubai, another Mack triple launch coaster The intensity of the launch is not very close to a single launch going full speed. I’ve also been on Velociraptor coasted at IMG in Dubai and that’s a Blue Fire clone like ST, just it doesn’t have the triple launch, just one. So I feel as though I know what ST will be like, given I have been on the two halves of it in two other Mack coasters. I expect the twisted spike to have a better appeal, but the vertical spike on the Hunger Games coaster gave great airtime! With a faster launch from the Blue Fire model at full speed being achieved in this triple launch, I still feel like it will be incredible!! Absolutely no doubt it will be a great launch system, and the only triple launch coaster in Australia is a great title.
  16. The mirror maze could probably be making a comeback... Or something else just as special, turning older attractions into haunts. This demonstrated three haunts and probably actors that free roam the park (think Hollywood Horror Nights at Universal). I also am intrigued by Mr Bowler... Preparing for his favourite season? Intriguing lmao, might see a house dedicated to the park’s newer creep?
  17. Yeah the pay isn’t bad at all! Around $26 for all positions rn which is cool, plus penalty rates for these holidays. Fun way to help pay my way through Uni I’m keeping my remote job still because it won’t be part time until December, big work break after the holidays haha.
  18. Also, I’ve been accepted as a rides attendant tonight for Luna Park! Training starts soon! Ever since I started playing RCT3 and watching Theme Park Review on youtube 13 years ago, I never imagined it would be this real! Dreams do come true guys haha!!
  19. Just saw Sledgehammer testing and WOW! When I saw it’s gondola swing above Coney Island I just ran! Looks so awesome! Got a little vid, absolutely nothing compared to how it looks in other videos (cause of Boomerang and Loopy Lighthouse blocking a perfect view). Still though, video doesn’t do this justice. IMG_2080.MOV
  20. I’ve been on turbo track (from that vid) in Ferrari World, and honestly it feels faster and taller than what it looks like on video. The fact you can actually choose what way you face is really awesome. Now, they could of course make a completely vertical spike with a faster and snappier launch if Dreamworld so pleased. We know what Intamin is capable of, and that custom attractions are a specialty of theirs in order to fit many different parks of different sizes (take custom impulse coasters like Taron or Velocicoaster for example). I still don’t think they would do something like this though, at least not for a while as Steel Taipan needs the spot light.
  21. I’ve heard they can be quite loud, but it seems (from others) they either get quiet or even more noisy. Usually it’s Zamperla’s Giant/Giga Discoveries that get worse though. Let’s hope for the best lmao, thank god this isn’t a Six Flags park and they will (hopefully) look after it well XD
  22. Wow! She’s absolutely soaring! Way more intense looking than I initially thought.
  23. Haha yes! I found that out a bit ago, from others making youtube videos, actually has the same max speed as MDMC (72km/h)! Not a bad launch in my opinion, definitely something that will be achieved quickly, as the launch tracks and the entire coaster are quite compact. I expect a great acceleration! Especially since Formula Rossa’s acceleration is 1.7gs of force, which is surprisingly only around double for what this model is capable of! Being on FR myself, I can definitely say even a quarter of that acceleration is enough! For a coaster going 240+km/h having only double the Gs of force on acceleration of this single rail coaster going less than a third of it’s speed, I agree with intamin. It’s impressive and powerful!
  24. Just found a translated version of a French interview with peeps from Intamin, It was from last year, but offers the specs of the Big Dipper I haven’t seen before! Idk if this had been shared here before? But I found it on Reddit. Apparently will have a height of around 24m and track length of 600m which is interesting. They did change the speed to 72km/hr, so obviously these stats might change, but they give a fairly good insight on what the Hot Racer is all about. Here’s the original article, very good read! https://amp.reddit.com/r/rollercoasters/comments/in32zb/interview_with_intamin_in_french_regarding_the/
