  1. Hehehe I think you're spot on there. I think the next park I'll be visiting will be Dreamworld, because that's the closest to where I live. I may also pick up a Max Action Pass, but I'm not sure that I'd get a huge amount of use out of it. Hmmm.
  2. Yeah, It was very smooth. I was expecting it to be much, much rougher. (Like Cyclone-front seat  ) Perhaps it was just because I was sitting pretty far back, therefore most of the shocks had been absorbed by the leading seats?
  3. Oooh, that would look pretty stylish in my room! I might bid on it later
  4. PART 2!! ---- After the River Ride, I eyed off the Road Runner Rollercoaster, I thought it looked pretty cool and I was interested as to what it would be like compared to the Reptar Coaster. It was a really fun ride, nice and fast... very enjoyable. By now, we were both hungry so we went over to the western burgers stall.. shop.. place. As usual, over priced and crappy so I won't go on too much about it. Once we finished lunch, we walked over to the central area of MW to see a huge hoard of people around the paths, I thought "It must be the show!!! arrrrrggghhhhh! I'll see Austin Powers!!" So I tried to see over the top of people, to no luck... as I'm a shorty (5"3). Bah humbug! Luckily it was only a Matrix exhibit. As soon as the show ended everyone rushed to the SDSC, thinking smartly we went to the Wild Wild West, just like we did earlier.. again barely any queues. Another enjoyable ride, except I got soaked at the end.. but it was a hot day, so it was a win-win situation..yeah! After riding that and getting the photo ($15.. daylight robbery!) We went onto the SDSC again.. fun fun. The sign at the front said an approx 45 minute wait, Dettered by this I said to my brother "C'mon.. it's not worth the wait. Let's go see something else" He persisted so we queued up. About 5 minutes into the queue there was an announcement.."The Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster ride has had to be emergency stopped. The ride will resume soon. Thankyou for your patience" About 15 minutes later we were on the ride Yayaya! The next show we queued up for was the Batman Show, we got front row "seats". A very spectacular show.. which I really really loved because im a huge batman fan (The older series) The cars were very mad too. Nice choreography/fight scenes. Inbetween the Batman Show & The main show I can't really remember what we did.. I think we just dordled around and didnt really do much. The "Main" show.. Ahhh.. Let's just start with where we sat. We got there very early and sat in front of a bin and light pole in the shade (very hot day.) Because it was so hot I decided to go and buy some ice cream, I walked around for a while trying to find where a ice cream shop was, then after 10 minutes of searching realised it was right in front of where we were sitting... *smacks head*. The prices were good and the guy who served me was quite spunky . Once I got back from the ice cream trip My brother hadn't reserved my spot a huge group of asian tourists were hogging my spot.. grr. Anyways. Once squeezing into my a place where I could view the show *standing up*, I bought a coke from a vendor guy. It was warm. The show started with Marilyn prancing around singing, not bad. We then were left there for 10 minutes while everything else was organised. I managed to sit down... then someone kept leaning on/kicking the bin.. Once Austin Powers came out, my heart skipped a beat.. Oh lordy. I am the biggest Austin fan ever I was pretty stoked.. then my camera batteries died, so no photos!!!! All the rest of the show was great. Worth the wait (hehe it rhymes) Once the show was over we cruised on down to the Roxy Theatre to see the Marvin The Martian Movie... In Air Conditioning.. mmmm. I didn't really enjoy the show because I kept seeing double. Probably because I have glasses. Hahaha oh well. Thinking of what other rides were in the park, I remembered the Batman simulator! The beginning of it is painfully long and boring, but the actual ride is fantastic! I couldn't stop laughing (probably because the lady behind me was hysterical....:|) Very good and realistic. And then the grand finale! After watching it, beind scared.. thinking of chickening out.. I finally went into the LETHAL WEAPON! Pretty much just walked into the ride loading area, with 4 people in front of the seat I wanted to go on (3rd from the back.. so it's smoother  ) Then the gates opened. My mouth was dry and I was quite nervous..After hearing horror stories about how rough it was. I put my bracelet into the loose items box and then jumped up (Its kinda high ) into the right seat. Very comfy, love the restraints and the bars you hold. The ride was very smooth, thrilling, and amazing. I love the loops.. don't really like the barrel rolls much though.. ick! I also love how you are so high above the track when you are stopped on the brakes- fantastic. I was on a high after it.. then had to go home. Overall, A fantastic day.. the park looked very fresh, the staff were great and efficient, food was..ok..for a theme park, the rides were great, just needed more of them! I can't wait for my next visit Thanks for reading my review!!
  5. Well I thought I'd post a review of my trip to MW. I went there with my brother on the 12th January (Wednesday) We started the day off at the front gates after being dropped off by a shuttle bus we got from out hotel, The ticket gates were a pain in the neck because we had already paid for our tickets and had to wait for aruond 20 minutes so we could get through the gates and into the park.. _sigh. Oh well, lucky I'm fairly patient, and the staff were lovely and courteous.. and even efficient. Once we ran into the park (Yes.. we ran, how dorky ) we had to stop at an area that had been closed, with about 50 or so people there. Someone asked the peculiar looking lady what was happening and she said the park opens at 10:00 in an odd irish accent. She complimented me on my bag and clothes and said I was very stylish.. hehehe. Anyway once they opened it up and threw a few entertainers around we ran again towards the SDSC. (This was my first time there and didnt know where anything was, so my brother had to guide me around..) Only to see a huge queue. Using my brain, we moved to the Wild Wild West, there was no queue. We immediately went onto the ride. Oh my god, and what a ride it was! The backwards bit is so thrilling, the themeing is brilliant and the water/cars were sparkling clean. After one ride, the ride op asked if we wanted to ride again and we said yes. After the WWW, we walked along to the SDSC.. and there was only a -5 queue, let me just say the queueing area ROCKS! The ride is even better. The staff really moved the queue along. On a high after the SDSC, we walked towards the Looney Tunes side of the park and bumped into my old friend Penguin.. We posed for a snapshot and then we were on our jolly way. Here's the pic.. The first ride in the Looney Tunes villiage was the Looney Tunes River Ride. I'm undecided on this ride, we had to wait a fairly long time then it took ages to actually get into the river part of the ride. SLightly enjoyable.. although I like more intense rides. ---- More photos and review-ness coming soon!!
  6. Exactly Unless I get 2 days off work and fly down to Sydney for the Easter Show...*ponders*
  7. That's awesome!! Now I'm looking forward to the Zipper even more, *gasp*. Were you super nervous when you got locked in the cage? Only 8 more months until I can ride a zipper, wooooh.
  8. I don't know, I've only been on Cyclone.. Maybe read the other 5,784 threads which are a debate over The Cyclone or Lethal Weapon.
  9. That's what adds an extra element to the rides- fear. I remember I rode the Cyclone once, front seat and the restraint felt really, really loose. So I did something kinda stupid and tested out of my arm could fit through the front of the restraint..both of my arms could. I quickly put my arms back and the ride started.. Then when it came to the loops..Let me just say I've never said the work faaark consequtively so many times in the space of about 15 seconds... Then there was the time I was on the travelling claw, and the restraint across from me flung open just as they were going to start it, that kinda made me hold onto the restraint extra tight during the ride
  10. That must have been applied after, because When I saw it then (my friends went on it) it was the same colours as the photo. The new colour scheme sounds nice though.. although I Luuurve the gold glittery paint
  11. It's a Kamikaze, Im talking about a particular model called the Hangover. From http://ride-extravaganza.com http://www.ride-extravaganza.com/rides/kam...kamikaze_10.jpg
  12. Hey, if you've been on the zipper or Hangover (preferably the hangover at the Ekka) could you please post a "review" or something like that, about what the ride is like, whether you liked it or not etc. I'm just interested as to what the two rides are both like, because I'm going to be riding them sometime this year and the only kind of review I've heard has been "THAT WAS WILD!!!" for the zipper, and "That ride is the death ride" for the hangover. Thankies.
  13. That is brilliant!!!! I LOVE the shot of the TOT going up, and the Giant Drop falling, some great footage and beautifully mixed together.
  14. Hey, I went to Dreamworld last Sunday and rode the Eureka Mine Ride a few times, however on the final ride it was a little different.. When were were all strapped in and ready to go, the train thing we were sitting in went up the chain-lift hill, and there was a bit of a "clunk" where it kinda snaps your neck.. It was our third ride on it today, and I was saying "3...2...1" until the chain bit.. on 1 we went on the chain bit, but it got stuck and it was like CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK x 100. After screaming.. WHAT THE ****! We proceeded to go up the hill, went around the top and emergency stopped. Take in mind it was a hot day, and here we were inside his cave in the sun.. arrrrgh. The loudspeaker came on and the ride op said something like "Aplogies for the inconvienience, we are encountering some ride difficulties. Remain seated and we will resume the ride shortly" The only thing I wanted to do was walk off the ride. We sat there for a good 15 minutes and I was scared of there being a fire.... *Claustrophobic* Anyway. What caused the incident was that a sensor along the ride became blocked, therefore stopped our train (On the most painful bit of the ride) As a precauticion so we didnt crash into another train.. WILD~!
  15. I really, really like this game. I didn't come across any bugs until yesterday- after playing it for a month. The scenarios are really hard  Stupid Clint Bushton, He wants to go on a rollercoaster with a rating above 4. Well there are 3 coasters above that, yet he ignores them then leaves the park "dissapointed" The game itself takes a while to get used to, I had to fix up some computer mouse settings simply so I could see the damn mouse. I also added my own music into the game so thats pretty cool.
