Seriously though, what the hell is he actually doing in the river with a black sack? Surely not just cleaning it! Does this have anything to do with the fenced off area of the old riverboat station?

Good excuse for a closure, but how come the gearbox hasnt broken every other time there has been a large amount of rain?

Another ride which has been closed a number of times this year has just seen a whopping 2018 reopening date! And once again they changed the initial closing date to make it look like the ride hasnt been closed since the beginning of october.

Completelty agree with these comments. During the start of the year I forgave Dreamworld for the numerous ride closures. As many of these closures have become insanely long and have been going on for a lot of the year I am not happy with the experience Dreamworld currently provides. They need to do something.

Today must have been the worst day for anyone going to Dreamworld.

Was looking on Tripadvisor out of curiosity and came across this Dreamworld review. This was three weeks ago. Does anyone recall such an incident? A little girl stuck on one of the tallest drop towers in the world would have made a great news story, so perhaps this person is exaggerating. PS. I know exactly what staff member they are talking about. Won't name her but she is a friendly older lady who wears such horrible lipstick and is slightly strange in some ways. I remember once I said to her "I like the west side of the giant drop because of the view of all of the old rides" and she went silent and gave me an evil glare for about three seconds until I said "Like Blue Lagoon and Log Ride" and she was like "Oh yeah, haha".

So why would they be demolishing the cave part of the log ride?

Were they old blue lagoon slides? Lol

Thats right by the riverboat station. Maybe they are removing it? Maybe Dreamworld could be renamed "Constructionworld". They could teach kids how to put up temporary fences, and tell them how important it is to have every square inch of the park under construction. And show them how to perform annual maintenance on rides.

When I went 2 weeks ago whitewaterworld was packed and dreamworld was empty. The hydrocoaster had a queue to the bottom of the stairs. Only ride that wasnt packed was Wedgie.

When I got the notification that Richard quoted me, I was like "Oh crap, here comes a hammering", but it was actually a reasonably friendly comment for once, so I just wanted to open my heart to Richard to say thanks for not telling me off Alrighty then... if the big boys like David read this forum often then I have a message for him. David (or someone with similar power): What's with Dreamworld and 80s music? The first thing I hear whenever I enter the park is either New Sensation, Come On Eileen, Beds are Burning, Never Gonna Give You Up, I wanna dance with somebody or Heaven (Eurogliders). Or something fairly equal to one of those and possibly the occasional 90s song such as Gettin Jiggy with It or Freestyler. There is always so much more 80s hit music played everything else. I would love to hear some Under the Boardwalk or Stand By Me. Now that's soul.

Message them on facebook about how dumb it is. They will pass it onto management for review

Ahh ok. I was there on the 9th. I do find that interesting that it was closed at that time though as it closed once more on April the 7th. Anyway thanks for outlining that.

Actually they play hit music in the queue now, depending on what staff members you get as often they blast their own music through their phone, haha. You never should have turned down a job close to Rainbows End!!! I am also against the word moist. You need to ban this word.

Why is Parkz so accepting of people who use offensive language on these forums. Not only is it an unprofessional look for the website (it is Australia's most reputable website for discussing theme parks after all) but it is also offensive to some individuals. On top of that, children probably use this site too. Sometimes you just need to think about what you plan to say before you say it.

I was there in march and the corkscrew was not closed. What day were you there? Log ride did close this year. The only rides closed this year were Stratosfear, Invador some kids rides, and Motion Master and Log ride and Corkscrew as of now. withdraw some of my previous statements of 1 week. Corkscrew has been roughly 20 days since 2015.

Mid august to mid sep. started 2 months ago.

Did some research and PP went down for maintenance around 2 months ago during September. From what I gather the bucket has been turned off/disconnected since then. Note that this was also an unexpected period of maintenance where they gave us basically 1 day of notice before the attraction was closed. So as pointed out the safest bet probably is that something is wrong with it and they have decided not to fix it as it might cost too much.
