  1. TOT closes in High Winds. With what's hitting the GC right now I wouldn't expect it to be open this weekend
  2. Whilst we already knew it, further confirmation today that Thor 3 will film from July 4 until late October, and they have exclusive use of the entire 9 sound stages during the production period.
  3. Haha.. Awesome. Excuse me while I fetch some tissues. anyways, let's get back on track! who's keen for Parkz meet up on opening night??!!
  4. I doubt people click dislike simply for disagreeing with you. If that was the case 50% of all posts would have negatives on here You probably get them because you use words like 'peeps' and your posts lack substance... Anyways, I had to get a negative 1 day! It's finally come! Haha.
  5. Wow, a negative score for a disagreement. Haha. How petty. You have your opinion, I have mine, but having personally seen how popular these style ranges are interstate, and in Brisbane, I can assure you you will be mightily surprised by how popular it will be
  6. When the town centre opens at Coomera it will open up a lot more food & entertainment options at the northern end of the Coast, and make the area more of a destination area away from Surfers, and a likely more family attractive option. I don't think you get it. your run of the mill driving range doesn't attract corporate dollars or functions, it doesn't offer wet weather cover, it doesn't offer comfort, it doesn't offer shade. That isn't catering for yuppies, I'd say it caters for everyone. As for who goes to cinemas, most people? Don't know many people that wait for a home release to check out an anticipated movie.
  7. An outrageous rip off? $20 for a family for an hour? Which world do you live in where that is a rip off? A trip to the movies for a family costs $100 these days.. I haven't seen it officially anywhere that you can't bring your own clubs, and would seriously doubt that is the case.
  8. I My guess would be with the unavailability of the studios the design and production process for the mazes may be more time intensive than previous years, so they've knocked one maze off early in an easy location to get the ball rolling
  9. It's still almost 4 months out. You won't see cosmetic changes for a while yet...
  10. Was about to say the same thing Magician, never got that Nickelodeon sneak peak that was promised
  11. Awesome concept. people need to stop thinking of it as just a driving range, because it's not. As few have mentioned, it's family friendly, great for a few drinks with friends, will be popular with teens, and will be a VERY popular corporate venue. As Alex pointed out, Penrith Aqua Golf was all the rage when I was growing up in Sydney, you had Sharkies on the way out to Wonderland as well. I haven't played a game of golf in over a decade, but I'll be visiting this place without doubt. You are being short sighted about the vision for the concept. it really has nothing to do with MW other than being located next to it and it having a common owner. Of course it will cost extra, it's not inside the park. That would be Asgard being constructed for Thor 3.
  12. Correct, as I stated a few pages back, as well as the technology's persistent maintenance issues
  13. Maybe if they get sick of the whole DC thing in a decade they can re-theme the area to LOTR and make it an Ent ride...
  14. Is it vinyl wrap or floating floorboards type material. If the later (which it appears to be) these are actually quite grippy and designed to not be slippery
  15. Really milking that 'story' for all its worth. Love how they are taking silence from the Wanda Group as a positive reflection of it happening! Haha
  16. In saying that's, politicians going off early and half cocked isn't a rarity. Hopefully whatever it is he's been made privy of actually comes to fruition!
  17. Loved Dragons Flight, would happily see a similar ride at any of our theme parks (be it a larger version of the DW one).
  18. Does it really matter? Themeing first, ride first, building both in unison, doesn't it really matter that they are all together in time for the advertised opening?
  19. I don't know if there is such a thing as an 'adult' tame ride. You'll find family rides that are non-thrill rides that cater that group.
  20. Far right of the third photo hanging on the rail
  21. A snap of some of the comments after the counsellors FB page... $100,000,000 in investments? That's a lot...
  22. like what though? Most rides have an element of height, as height = thrill, and in some cases speed. Shockwave isn't high, I can think of too many other flats that don't involve height, save for kids rides of course Laser tag arena's are cost prohibitive if not bringing in constant revenue. The guns & vests are a maintenance nightmare. It wasn't over popular, it's existence certainly wasn't bringing additional visitation or revenue to the park, so the costs of maintaining, and staffing become unnecessary for the small number of people utilising it. Don't forget Ardent owns M9 which is located within 25mins of the park (both north & south). They were potentially also canabalising that business as with growing world pass holder numbers in SE Qld, M9 would have been losing revenue with people getting their skirmish fix at DW.
  23. First time I've ever seen Willy Wonka when I visited yesterday (Friday). Didn't know they portrayed him in park. Dorothy I've seen a handful of times, all this year, never had seen her prior to then
