  1. I would create a dark ride themed to the DC movie Watchmen (2009) to be put in the old batman building. For the new ride i would add a Giant HUSS Topspin, which will be themed to the movie Batman: The Dark Knight (2008) And I would retheme Lethal weapon to the Harry Potter series. With China Town being rethemed into Hogsmeade.
  2. Although the Australian country is not that different to the american west, thus it would work
  3. Lol...alright guys....i didnt realise the Wild Wild West was actually a place in America...i just thought it was a movie...lol...my mistake Let it be Bandits
  4. Heres an update on Wet'n'Wild Sydney...The water park has been given the green light...WOOOO Prospect: Government gives Wet'n'Wild ticket to ride QUAKERS Hill brothers Jacob and Caleb Hansford spent every day they could at Wet’n'Wild on the Gold Coast when they lived in Queensland and now, with the NSW government signing off on Wet’n'Wild at Prospect, they will be able to enjoy some of their favourite rides again. The Planning Department gave concept approval for the $98 million first stage of the $140 million project on December 8 last year. It is up to the park’s builders, Village Roadshow, to get back to the government by March on “conditions” made on the project. The Hansford boys are competitive swimmers and Caleb, 14, said it would be great to have a Wet’n'Wild nearby. He said he made the most of the Gold Coast park when the family was living in Mango Hill in Brisbane. “It was close to us and was so much fun,” Caleb said. “It will be good to have one nearby for when it gets stinking hot.” Construction is expected to begin in a few months in time to open by September 2013. The government is leasing 25ha of land for the project, which is expected to attract nearly a million visitors in its first year. The 10 rides in stage one include the Duelling Master Blaster Tube Ride and Sky Coaster. Village said 300 jobs would be created during construction and operation of the park and $500 million would be injected into the western Sydney economy in the first 10 years. A Tourism NSW spokesman said the park would boost tourism in Blacktown. Blacktown Council initially was not satisfied with $5.2 million to upgrade roads around the Reservoir Rd site but late last year threw its support behind the project after Village agreed to an additional $2 million to reseal Reservoir Rd. A Tourism NSW spokesman said the park would be a big boost for tourism in Blacktown. “The water is an essential part of the Sydney experience; our people live, breathe and celebrate the water in a variety of ways. A new themed water attraction like Wet’n'Wild would provide an opportunity for visitors to enhance that experience,” he said.
  5. A bushranger fits BETTER becasue it is designed for an AUSTRALIAN park not an american park. Bushrangers are famous to be found in Australia, through Ned Kelly.
  6. Here is my suggestion to extend the Wild Wild West area... I would add a B & M Diving Rollercoaster, create two new 4D shows to be shown in a new 4D "Show Stage", which will use the current show stage building. I will also create a new resturant, rest area and and more themeing along a new path. My Planned setup can be seen in the PDF file below. The Diving rollercoaster will be a mix between Oblivion where it dives into the ground, and Shrieka where it is actually a rollercoaster. The story behind the rollercoaster is you are just about to go into a mine, when the lift gets stuck and you a hear a great roar. That is when you are informed that there has been an earthquake which causes the tower to shake and the lift to break which sends you hurtling down into the mine. Luckily ou are picked up by a current of water that has engulfed the mine, which takes you on a daring ride spurting you up in the air and around. The ride comes to an end when you end up safe back in the station that is themed to be a lake, also you glide over the Wild Wild West Falls lake infront of the mountain which will add to the other ride as the people riding wild wild west falls will get soaked as the rides will be syncronised. The first show would be a 4D version of Rango. The second 4d show would be about a group who is travelling through the wild wild west when they are held up by bushrangers, they try to escape and end up with many obstacles but eventually escape and the bushrangers are caught with your help. 9. Hello, I would just like to see what theme park Australians would like.
  10. Why water rides? Why not the best rollercoasters of the world which have not been experienced by many Australians? As these will have more appeal to the Australian audience. LOL... I am writing this on a very hot and hummid day in Sydney, when I wish Sydney had a Waterpark.
  11. I am just curious and I am wondering what the Parkz community would rank as the top 10 rollercoasters in the world. It would be awesome if everyone could post their chosen top 10 rollercoasters in the world, in this thread so we can easily see the best rollercoasters that exist in the world, as voted by the parkz community. I would like to vote too but I have not experienced any rides or rollercoasters overseas yet, to include in this list. Sincerely, Thrillrulz
  12. I sure that they could find some way to secure the ferris wheel from moving when the ship is in transport between ports, like just a massive latch that connects to the main wheel, and if they build the rides strong enough they should be able to withstand the forces of the seas.
  13. Hey, remember in 1994 when Disney built a traveling theme park inside the hull of a massive supertanker? You don’t? That’s because it’s insaaaaaaaane! This surprising project began with an off-handed joke by a Navy Admiral to Disney executive Jim Cora, suggesting that Cora build a theme park on an unused aircraft carrier. Somehow this wacky notion found purchase in the ranks of management, and soon Imagineers were casting about for the proper type of vessel to contain an actual floating theme park. Hickson was brought on board the project because of his previous experience with shipbuilding. He suggested that Disney use a supertanker; the ship’s vast internal capacity would allow Disney to build a full five decks of attractions and guest areas. It was decided that the ship would be used to tour the Pacific Rim, stopping at many tourist-friendly ports in China, southeast Asia, and Australia. The ship would stay roughly two and a half months in each port, returning to each city only every four or five years. On the top deck there was the Orbitron, Casey Jr. Train, a large Ferris Wheel, Alice in Wonderland’s spinning Tea Cups, Dumbo, and a Fantasyland Carousel under a glass dome! At the stern end of the top deck, there would be It’s a Small World. The center or “Hub” of the ship that receives our guests actually had a big glass canopy over the top of it. It was multiple decks deep, so when you entered the ship you had this beautiful giant caverness entry way. If you went to the right you would find Fantasyland themed attractions and to the left it was Tomorrowland themed attractions. Other attractions included Peter Pan’s Flight, Snow White’s Scary Adventures, Indiana Jones, Star Tours, a 3D movie theatre, and even a Space Mountain roller coaster! The fact is the ship was so big and deep that we could actually put an iron roller coaster inside down below the decks. The only difference is you would not see any mountain. We probably we would have to re-named the ride! THIS IS AMAZING!!! SUCKS THAT IT WAST REALISED !!! STIIL SHOULD GO AHEAD WITH IT!!!
  14. Zamperla has released a media release which states that "a new compact version of the Disk’O Coaster 24 is due to open at Dreamworld in Queensland". Just incase anyones interested in the size of the Disk'O'Coaster at Dreamworld.
  15. How won't a Water Park in Sydney reach the projected attendance of 900,000, when Sydney has a much larger population than the Gold Coast. With the Gold Coast only having about half a million people, and Sydney having 4.5 million people.Which means more people willing to visit the park. Plus, Sydney probably also gets more international visitors than the Gold Coast as it has major attractions like the Sydney Opera House, and the Harbour Bridge. Plus the Park is set to be one of the Best Waterparks in the World. So how can you say that Wet'n'Wild Sydney will not reach the expected attendance to the park, or beat that expected attendance?
  16. WOOD As you can encounter many thrills on wood, for a dramitically cheaper price.
  17. Why does everyone hate Giant Inverted Boomerangs?
  18. If you had the ability to create a completly new theme park from scratch, what rides and rollercoasters would you include in the park, if you had unlimited money?
  19. Yes i mean the Skycoaster, Do you know when it will be completed?
  20. When will the skyrider be completed at wet n wild? It looks like an awesome ride.
